Time to start doing Business Steve..!!

There are plus points and minus points in anything but it's incredibly poor how we've left one of our options for a front three as between Edouard, Rak-Sakyi, Devenny and Esse. None are acceptable replacements for Eze, which is exactly what Glasner is thinking.
Edouard: not worth really talking about. Why waste our breath? He doesn't.
Rak-Sakyi: could probably do an average job on the right. Maybe as a sub. But what then? Put Sarr on the left? Why?
Esse: we all saw the manager berate him for show boating. And he's barely played. This is where I'd question Ollie and youngsters. He's the best option of what we have.
Devenny: played against Fredrikstad, was very average. Is a hard worker and busts a gut. We like that. But he's not strong, skillfull or visionary. He has a good mentality but probably not his position. I'm wondering what his position is these days: Jack of all trades.

To have our only left sided attacker leave with no realistic back up is pretty pathetic. I would be majorly pissed if I were Glasner. We've left him with a couple of Aldi middle aisle circular cutting tools to cut girders.

He said getting numbers in was easy, he wants the right player/players.

Could he be having much more of a say and what’s been offered he just doesn’t fancy?
If that means Glasner stops us making more deals like spending £30m on Nketiah - I still don't understand how he is meant to fit into a system based on a strong no.9 to hold up the ball supported by the pace and creativity of two No. 10s - then good on him!

No idea if we were in for Dibbling but in any event he's apparently off to Everton in a £42 million deal.
It was rumoured that we had switched our attention from El Khanouss to Dibbling.
At this rate we might be grateful for Sterling on loan if it's between playing him or Edouard.
I’d take it right now. At least it’s another body in the squad, and one with considerable talent on his day. It would be something, in a sea of nothing.

Right now we need numbers. Earlier in the window we might’ve been more picky, but the chance to be picky gets slimmer and slimmer as the clock ticks.

Sterling is an odd one - he's only 30 and has been in apparent decline for 2 years+ but he's got 82 caps and is a very skilful player and just because he hasn't really worked out at Chelsea and Arsenal doesn't necessarily mean he wouldn't be good with us. As a loan option he could do a job if we could get a tune out of him. Admittedly that might be a big if but the potential upside makes him worth it to me.

Yeah, I’m 100% with you on that. It could, just maybe, make sense as a deal now.

The only down side is we take all the risk, and if it does pay off, we won’t have much chance to make it permanent at the end. But that’s not a terrible problem to have as it would mean we’d gone some of the way towards fixing the current one for this season.

P.S. just seen that El Khanouss wasn’t involved in the Leicester 20 yesterday. Anything can be read into that?

Probably that he's off to Tottering Hotsperm for a few months.

I look at it this way. Is he better than the options we have in the squad. The answer is unequivocally a yes. He also has a much higher ceiling. He’s miles ahead of JRS and Edouard. He’s better than Deveney in forward positions. Esse may have potential but that’s what it is right now and seemingly there is a problem with attitude in OG’s eyes. As a loan it would be a decent option

Agreed with this. Yes it’s a temporary fix but so inept has our transfer window been that we now just need options to see us through the next few months

A bit of south London love could do wonders for sterling.

Loan till January and if it's working then just extend the loan. Wages an issue but then you aren't paying a fee to buy.
