Time to start doing Business Steve..!!

If the 3 money men are not concerned with the situation they should be, surely they know that the situation isn't ideal, Parish only runs Palace with the permission of the other 3, he only has power that is given to him by the majority shareholders, which will soon be altered if they think he is becoming a liability.

Like I said on another thread, I'm not sure why Harris, Johnson & Blitzer don't make 20 million each available as a tie over? they are all worth 5/6 Billion. 20 million is chump change in the grand scheme of things & is the equivalent of a regular Joe with just 6K in his savings account lending someone 20 quid to buy a Fish & chip supper

Because they have virtually no say on how it is spent and also would be unlikely to see much return on it

They are business people, they are not going to just give Parish £20m each and go there you go Steve spend some Dosh.

They would want security on loans and see some return.

I go back to what I have said for years our ownership structure makes zero sense commercially

No idea if we were in for Dibbling but in any event he's apparently off to Everton in a £42 million deal.
It was rumoured that we had switched our attention from El Khanouss to Dibbling.
At this rate we might be grateful for Sterling on loan if it's between playing him or Edouard.

Not panicking yet... We have 9 days until the end of the month and we usually have a good deadline day. We've always watched and waited, picking our move once the full transfer picture is clear. And you know we love a loan as well...

If he goes there that'll be over £100,000,000 they've spent as well as their shiny new stadium. Oh, and Grealish on loan.

Glasner has given an interview with Sky in which he said if you don’t replace top players quickly that there’s a danger that things can go wrong very quickly and he would be fearful of that. It’s been dressed up under the headline of being concerned about relegation, but I’m not sure he said that directly.
He also said Esse is not ready to play regularly as he doesn’t have the consistency.

Neither of the above revelations are earth shattering, but it’s confirmation that Esse will only be a bit part player in the near term and is not seen as the answer to Eze’s departure and we need to replace excellence with excellence rather than just potential.

A player with experience but keen to play like Andros Townsend in prior times would be a sensible move I think, but I can't give you any names, which shows that leaving business until the last moment is a poor show by Parish & Co, who must have known that there was the strong possibility of Eze leaving, if not later, then sooner, as it transpired.

When Parish was interviewed after the game on Thursday he indicated that he thought we didn’t have to do much in the window.
It wouldn’t surprise me if it was something like Hwang from Wolves (loan), a replacement for Eze (Elliott?) and a defender.
If we do manage to get rid of a few fringe players who have been told to leave, that list could be added to.
It’s a bit underwhelming.

I think El Khanouss will be coming to us now Eze gone my understanding he stalled the move , he knows he will get game time now , there is a number of targets so hopefully by weds we will see players coming in plus 2 loans we still may get 4/5 in ,
not ideal but since winning FA cup not been ideal preparation for lots of reasons , ideal world Textor was gone before final Eze was sold earlier Guihi sold or contract extension , and UEFA making there ruling alot earlier and I mean alot earlier , supporters dont care about that they want end result , not interested in how you get there , And its always easy to blame someone else ,

doesn’t appear Textor was wrong, Parish has no ambition. This of all seasons, the perfect moment for us to try and push on. Highly unlikely we’ll have this moment in time again any time soon. For me it confirms what this clubs strategy is. Feel sorry for Oli, if the club won’t back the most successful manager in our history off the back of winning 2 trophies they never will. We had a real opportunity this season to have a crack, so disappointing. Forever grateful to Steve’s leadership but have a feeling this will be the beginning of the end for him when Oli goes and achieves things at his next club.

Parish has no options here. His priority seems to be the new stand, a big glass monument to him and his 'legacy,'

I can sort of understand that, but sometimes you can spend so much time planning for a bright future, that you take your eye off of what is directly in front of you. OG has delivered in spades and so we sell the best players from under his nose and wait until everyone else has done their business and clubs are sticking the yellow price reduced stickers on the stuff they cannot shift before we do any business.

Parish has often procrastiated as he has no options but go as he does not have the money. He is always spending other people's money and seems able to persuade rich Americans to give him money to spend. Maybe that is changing. No other chairmen spend as much time in the spotlight as he does and half the time he seems to say stuff that clearly surprises his managers - which is maybe why why we seems to have had so many.

Is Parish the problem? I don't know but he is a common factor in most debates and does seem to see himself as the club, despite not actually being it's owner.
