I didn’t see that post but yes, totally condemn that and exactly the same. I don’t agree with Steeleye on this subject either.

I do think that what you seeing is unprecedented in modern times in terms of the Israeli project....something mainly born out of Europe and since funded by the...Mmmm...'influenced' Americans.

Morally what's happening can't be defended from a European perspective.....However, this has happened all though history and it's only modern day sensibilities and the fact that cameras are recording that makes it different.

I do agree with Spindle though and that while I understand Egypt's position (they are no friends of Hamas nor fighting with Israel)....that as a wider truth the Palestinians are an Arab concern, not a European one.

But the larger truth is that the governments of the Arab states just don't want to know.....they like that American bribe money. And the richest of them the house of Saud and Qatar want to stay rich and make deals and be the Arab hegemon.

The middle class lefties in Europe can whine all they like but they are powerless....and that was exactly what they supported in their decades long weakening of Europe's military and economic strength.

Turns out....No might equals no rights.....What a shocker, who could have guessed that one. 🙄

The joker Starmer has committed to increasing the defence budget to three and a half percent when apparently we are ten of billions in debt with significant tax raises (which they lied about) to come......Yep those defence budget increases are about as realistic as Father Christmas going on a diet.

Yep, bring on the clowns.....oh, hang on, they are already here. 😛

Over a million marched against the Iraq war.

Made zero difference there was zero accountability for any of it despite massive costs with zero end result in our favour.....No one in power even talks about it.

Real power is top down as elite theory tells us. It's rare for any bottom up movements to succeed....of those you know when you look into them they were heavily funded by elites....either mainstream or dissident elites.

They only have to convince the American political class.

And that has long since been achieved.....ever since Lyndon Johnson, who undid all Kennedy's moves regarding Israel....the last American president who said no to Israel in real terms was Reagan.

I'm sympathetic to the argument that Israel have far too much influence upon the American state. Foreign lobbies should be registered as such and all countries....as Israel do....should put their own interests first.

Protecting Israel is one thing but the US has gone far beyond that.
