Tommy Robinson

When there are multiple coal faces and only a limited number of miners and pick axes you will get a variety of answers from people with a variety of priorities. Most times though people don’t realise that it’s impossible to satisfy every priority all the time and they just complain about the ones being neglected. If at the time the scale of the problem wasn’t well understood then for some other priorities would have been seen as more important.
Not an answer. There were thousands of children being raped and assaulted over the course of decades whose lives have been irrevocably damaged. Satisfy every priority? That's just wrong when they weren't just not seen as a priority but were ignored. If excusing all this helps maintain your faith in "the authorities" then try imagining it was Tommy Robinson's decision on what to prioritise.

Before placing too much reliance on what this guy says, just consider who he is.

Yes, he served in the police force but he is now a writer of fictional thrillers. The piece referenced reads like one.

In another article, about Reform and Farage he describes himself as “a right-of-centre, small ‘c’ conservative and failed libertarian”. He criticises Tony Blair and almost every politician you could name. To suggest he is cynical would be an understatement.

He is grinding quite a few axes. Everyone now accepts the rape gang scandals haven’t been handled well. What the primary causes of the failures were and how to correct them is why we have had enquiries and changed policies.

I believe there is much more that could be done to overcome the cultural attitudes which underlie the problem.
Which would pay much bigger dividends than looking in the rear view mirror for scapegoats.
‘Rape gsng scandals weren’t handled well?’ It was a cover up.

‘There is much more that could be done be to overcome the cultural attitudes which underlie the problem?’ You are something else. 1. Tougher sentencing. 2. Stop letting in these sex cases. There are loads of vigilante videos of people catching social media predators from Muslim countries here for just weeks. But no, we can’t do that either according to you.

It’s only not an answer to those who weren’t asked to answer it at the time.

It’s easy to sit at a key board and blame people with the benefit of hindsight and freedom from any actual responsibility.

It’s much harder to actually have to make decisions with a lack of resources, inadequate knowledge, pressures to achieve results in a multitude of competing areas and one hand tied behind your back by directions from politicians.

Really? Didn't you previously claim there were no such directions?

No, it wasn’t handled well. Not wanting too much media coverage wasn’t covering anything up. It was part of a strategy that has subsequently been regarded as a mistake. Mistakes happen. The important thing is to learn from them.

What I want done is to tackle at source the cultural attitudes that allow people to believe this kind of behaviour is acceptable. That requires going back to basics. It means removing all religious influences from schools, working with community and religious leaders to set up training and adult education classes in areas where such attitudes exist and to ruthlessly close down any that persist in teaching values that are incompatible with ours.

The problem needs to be eliminated. Not have sticking plasters applied. In the meantime the detection and punishment of offenders must go on so fear of exposure becomes a restraint. Establishing secure and confidential reporting methods for both victims, or anyone with information, and publicising them within relevant communities, if not already done, should be.

Politicians can be both local and national. They give directions over many things, which can conflict with each other. They might direct that the police tackle the scourge of shoplifting whilst reducing the speeding of cars in urban streets.
And how could this direction have impacted this particular set of crimes?

Which part of they knew it was happening but protect these sickos because of the community they’re from and live in do you not understand?

In the meantime British society, mainly girls and women in these areas have to wait for all these imported sex cases to die of old age? And what about the illegal male migrants who are 95% male? They’re in their 20’s. That’s decades of sexual harassment. A female living in one of these areas is at risk of this for her whole life effectively. Truro is nice though.

Your contention is that this strategy was in place for 25 years with no way of measuring it's efficiency since records weren't maintained or shared. No KPOs, KPIs or milestones - just maintained until it was revealed to be a failure.

A lot of Government decisions, you don't need hindsight to realise they're wrong. Enoch Powell was pilloried for years, until we realise he was very close to the truth.
Governments are becoming more adept at not being held accountable:
That was the previous Government
We acted on the data available at the time
Group think
No data to contradict our policies was gathered at the time
The data no longer exists

When people are caught out bang-to-rights, like the Post Office....people are dying before compensation is being paid.

Total lack of Governmental accountability

You think removing religion from schools is going to make any difference to the growing confidence of Islamic dominance? It would be laughable if it wasn’t so serious.

And education is not going to make any difference to an already adult migrant who holds no value towards females including children.

We need more Christian education in our schooling system. If we are to make this country and by wider context Europe, a place that is forthright in its commitment to traditional values then every school needs to become more Christian. Daily prayers, hymn singing and a whole host of other compulsory measures that helps reinforce what the West stands for.

Secularism lays at the heart of the rot we are currently experiencing. With the control of the education system at the core.

Your grandchildren will be either taught about Christ as King or Allah as the one and only prophet. And what you support now will influence that

I tend to side with this view now. I’ll try to find a link that isn’t facebook…

There’s always been nonces but I’m not sure that it was ever on such an industrial scale as what we have experienced recently. There is also a further unsavoury aspect in that one culture was subjecting a different culture to the abuse. One culture considering young girls of a different culture to be expendable.
The cops seem to be very effective at curbing any vigilantism, though ?

The West does not stand for religious nonsense.
Secularism is not 'rot'. It is the reason why you and I can speak freely as we are.

The last thing Europe needs is more religion. What it needs is wisdom and morality from better leaders. We need to replace antiquated ideas about deities with real world societal cohesion.

Prayers and mumbo jumbo won't fix anything. Man made God and man made morals. Men now need to step up and lead by example.

Not looking forward to the Islamophobia Bill being passed.
