Palace potentially denied entry to Europa League?

As I have mentioned before, I am not sanguine about our chances with CAS and think our only hope will be on 'moral' grounds rather than any technical claims.

We will need the very best lawyers, specialists in 'loophole finding' and I am doubtful if an attack on Forest, if this is implied by the announcement, will bear much fruit. Although it will at least add extra spice to our first home match.

Defeatist and fatalistic I may be but I cling to the faint hope that our moral argument may yet prevail.

While technically Forest can buy and sell between Botafogo and Lyon or whomever they like, the timing of these dealings in relation to how it helped Lyon win their appeal will arouse suspicion and could well support our case decisively - we need not go over again which areas we will prioritise in our appeal, but the obvious collusion between OL and NF could well 'bear fruit' ... fruits of the forest, sorry!

It ought to be and would be if the trustees were truly independent and only took decisions in the best interests of the organisation then they woul

What though if they owe their status, income and loyalty to the shareholder? What if, for instance, they were also his bodyguards?

Would that still be ok? Or would it just be a legal sleight of hand to get around an inconvenient rule?
All trustees owe a duty of care, there are specialist insurancers who underwrite trustee risk, any idea that they aren't independent is to completely misrepresent what they do.

Enjoying social media imploding right now about how we broke the rules and deserve our fate. It's going to make it all the sweeter IF this is overturned.

I have purchased some popcorn.

Probably already discussed but I can't be bothered to scroll. If the decision is due by August 10th but the draw for the EC playoff is August 4th, does that imply that Palace wouldn't have to play their playoff game if demoted? Or am I putting 2+2 together and getting 5?

Decision by 11 August latest, by which time we may have lost players we have been pursuing and risked the loss of Glasner and possibly players.

We will also be faced with the same slow start we had last year, but for different reasons.

Are UEFA going to cover that?

Forest should cover it for slowing the process down. They're like Gina Miller slowing Brexit down.

Forest tried to sign Igor Jesus in January but he turned down the move preferring to stay in Brazil at the time, not sure about the other fella. Seeing as most player transfers happen over the summer, the timing is a tenuous link at best.

If we win this appeal our grounds for suing UEFA for business interruption/disruption are only going to improve.

Can you imagine UEFA telling Pep that if a CL place for Citeh was in the balance
