The problem is that a lot of youngsters (I’m generalising obviously).
Don’t have the work ethic to work in the building trade/apprenticeships.
If a company was allowed to put mobile phones in lockers at the start of the day and return them to apprentices at the end of the day (I’m sure this would be against their human rights ) then we’d have a chance.
I’ve just started a 23 year old , was put off by his age , but his circumstances (1 kid and 1 on the way) , swayed me to think that he would be in everyday.
In a world with social media and influencers are swanning around the world having glamorous life styles. It’s hard for a teenager to want to get up in the dark, make their own way to work, graft for 8 hours and make their way home.
Sad but true.
