Palace potentially denied entry to Europa League?

Palace seem to have 2 main arguments
1) they are not part of a multi ownership group so the March date is irrelevant as it has no application
2) there appears to be correspondence between UEFA and other clubs, including Forest, that the March date was not set in stone.

On 1) I think UEFA ( and/or CAS) will continue to find against us.....unless the argument is now accepted that we are no longer part of a multi ownership group since Textor's departure.
This would entail them backing down on the importance of the March date.

On 2) can Palace definitely demonstrate that the club has been treated differently to other clubs with a harsher application of the March date?
And, even if that's accepted, will that be sufficient to see the club reinstated into the Europa?

Ever since the original decision was announced I've taken the view the merits of the case are almost immaterial and that UEFA will decide what they decide and find suitable reasons either way.

As a smaller club we are mere pawns in the scheme of things.
I don't say this with bitterness, but more a realistic assessment and general disillusionment with how the game is run.

In terms of adherence to rules and behaviours , it's generally acknowledged in the game that Palace are one of the better clubs in terms of compliance.
But at the end of the day this may count for little.
The trick is to get Brighty voted on to UEFA!

For the first time i think we are going to be installed in our rightful place in the Europa League, not because UEFA has seen the error of their ways or they have grown a heart, it is i think, they think, it will be a bigger pain in the arse, to them not giving Palace the place than Forest.

Anyone know what bookies are offering on the CAS outcome?

My personal estimate of our chances:
Yes 5% Rejection 95%

That's why I've been saying to take our 'demotion' and move on. We've a better chance in the Conference and we need to concentrate on the PL.

The director would mean he is involved in management / admin of both clubs. There's no reference to control or influence there, it's black and white sadly.

We have fixed that now and agree you'd argue uefas deadline was too tight.
How do you work that out? Directors can be involved, but not necessarily and Textor wasn’t. The rules on shareholders are expressed differently. Those who hold substantial shareholdings will often sit on the Board but not play an active role in the management.
