Palace potentially denied entry to Europa League?

One of the most interesting claims that Textor made was that he was offered 75% of Palace initially and then told that to get approval faster he should settle for 43% to begin with.

I struggle to believe that someone with Textors wealth would be taken in by that. I’m not saying it didn’t happen but if I was parting with £90m I’d be doing all the due diligence available to make sure that I knew the complete picture.
And why was he in such a hurry?

I thought Textor was big enough to go on talk sport and put his side of the story, is Parish big enough to do the same, to ignore the email that came in the last week in February is scandalous, where was the administration, i am not saying that it was not too late to comply, but surely a response was needed, and to say nobody saw it is laughable, what a mess.

I’d love to hear SP’s side, especially as Textor didn’t exactly fill me with confidence and he did seem a bit vague with some of what he was saying, or wasn’t saying. But doubt you’ll get Jordan and Parish in the same room like that.
As I said, I know we SHOULD be grateful if his money helped keep us afloat or at least competing in the premier league and he’s jumped ship at a cheaper price than he could’ve held out for, but having listened and watched this twice now, like uefa clearly don’t, I don’t trust the bloke and thank god parish stopped him having as much control as he wanted

Greig Wallace was "big enough" to do his thing to camera referring to women of "a certain age". How did that go? Textor may be similarly judged in hindsight.

Parrish comes from a background of PR. If it is one thing he knows it is when to speak, who to talk to and what to say.

Also, he may be (perhaps wisely) treating this as "sub judice" until a decision is made.

Textor was invited on by Simon Jordan. Fair play to him for going on there. I can’t see Steve Parish accepting a similar invitation.

However, I find it hard to believe some of what Textor says. And that claim about the email sounded somewhat dubious to me. And he then went on to say that in any case he would not have been convinced into going down the Blind Trust route at that point. Also, if UEFA did only give notice of their rule change that late in the day, that reflects badly on them as well.

I’m trying hard not to play a blame game in all this. The constitution of Palace’s Board is not a typical one and it’s clearly the cause of the problem. So although you can rightly say that the buck stops with Parish, you also have to consider what action he could take to avoid the situation occurring. And then you circle back around to Textors comment about Palace’s league position in February etc.

But yes, it’s a mess alright

the one thing i have noticed all big names havent left us (yet) you never know they might stay and get us in champion lge and go up yours uefa , ok its a dream but dreamt 54 years that one day we will lift FA CUP
But the big names are leaving Forest.
Can we read anything into this?

Looks like Parish has been on a sports panel in New Jersey in recent days and made a statement about playing in Europe.
Suitably vague, however, as this could mean the Europa or the Conference.

At this time Parish would be crazy to go public. There is still the possibility that UEFA rule in our favour so what would the point be in antagonising them.

When, sorry, if we lose I think we will hear from Parish.

I agree, but if that email did come in the last week of February, and was either missed or ignored and not acted on, even a reply, its is very poor PR, but as you say, did it happen?, i am going to lay down in a dark room.

UEFA have form for sticking out an announcement on Friday afternoon, then closing up shop over the weekend with the intention of hoping it all dies down by Monday morning.
UEFA recently issued over 211 million in fines. But where does all this money go, I hear you ask? Almost all of it is dispersed back to Champions League and Europa League clubs. I cannot see them wanting a club like Palace to benefit when we’ve paid out zero fines!

Hopefully we've learned not to let the work experience kid monitor the inbox.

Why is this talking so long.

We all know the fit and proper test is a joke considering some of the PL owners. Johnson has the money as far as I know he is not a war criminal nor has he committed any major crimes.

This should be quite easy to approve.
Minimum 3 weeks upto well look at Newcastle , but I expect this week johnson cleared today no later than Tuesday
