Eze to spurs?

I know this is click bait but so typical Daniel Levy. I remember an agent bring them interviewed once who said of Levy that he always wants to but at bargain basement prices and sell at top dollar.

Well, we owe Spurs nothing so what planet he is on to think we would sell at under the release clause.

If anything £68m is slightly on the cheap side.
We paid €3.8m to buy Zeki Fryers from Spurs in 2014.

We paid the same amount to bring back Wilf in the same window.

We haven’t done any business with Spurs since.

i think Fryers was c£1.5m but i get your point.

After the way they clearly tapped up Routledge and Bostock and then effectively ruined their careers we owe them nothing.

They seem to be consider Kudus now (who had a really poor season with WHU) so they may have moved on.
Similarly if Arsenal go for Madueke i can't see them going for Eze too.

This infatuation with young players is a little bizarre ATM. The Chelsea model has clearly not worked , so far, yet Eze seems so far ahead of both the 2 i have named and both will cost similar. I would take Eze all day long if i had the choice

The Bayern rumour is gathering legs, starting to pop up in the 'insider' quotes online.

Wouldn't mind this at all. He's likely to go somewhere this summer and Bayern paid the Olise fee, got it done and moved on nice and quickly which gave us the time to sort ourselves out.

The multiple clowns in North London are going to be fidgeting around all summer so would rather avoid business with them.

There is also the "out of sight, out of mind" principle. It'd be a lot easier to live with if we don't have to listen to assorted Arsespurs crowing about him.

Agree ,he would be ideal for Bayern and they clearly now need a No10. Having his mate there and also England colleague Harry Kane would, on paper, make it an easy decision.

I'd still prefer him to stay with us but from an age and contract perspective now is the ideal time to cash in.

I agree, for us to progress we need to maximise sales returns. It only really damages us if we don’t replace his attacking threat properly and my guess is we are quite capable of doing this at a lot less than £60m + £8m add ons.

I’d be much happier if he went abroad, it’s silly really - but I just don’t want to see him scoring goals every week for Arsenal on sky sports or Match of the day. It was bad enough when Wright moved that way - ruined my weekend to see him scoring goals every week!

conversely, I now keep an eye on Bayern Munich just to see Olise and take some pride from the fact that he is doing so well and Palace helped his development.

I think for our model is to truly work we have to recognise the optimum time to sell our young talent max out the sale price and reinvest.
Eze has reached that point and the disappointment of seeing him go would be softened if we were to sign someone like Tyler Dibling and Hayden Hackney with the proceeds as far as I’m concerned.

it will have to be less - QPR has a sell on % - either 20% or 25% on profit so c£8m of the £60m will go to them. The add ons are of course not guaranteed.

Alright stato, but we will still get somebody for a whole lot less than £52M all in.

Stato or just facts?

Obviously we can get someone for less money (or use Franca or Esse) but will they be as effective?

Almost certainly not, and i still remember Marco Gabbiadini being signed to replace Ian Wright.

I would take Ethan Nwaneri as a swap, no chance though.

On that note, who is this 'mystery' player that Arsenal are supposedly willing to swap (if the media is to be believed)? I was looking at their squad and the only ones I could imagine we'd be interested in and they'd be willing to let go are Reiss Nelson (who had serious injury issues last season) and Jakub Kiwior. However, the articles refer to a swap deal involving a young player with limited appearances for Arsenal's first team. So in short, this swap deal business sounds like nonsense!

What is it about these so-called Big Clubs that they want to include unwanted players in a swap deal with us? They're quick enough to pay the money when they buy from the continent (Liverpool for Wirtz; Arsenal for Zubimendi) but they continue to try and pull the wool over the eyes of little Crystal Palace. I suppose we do have form in letting those two rip us off.

If they want Eze then the release clause is a total of £68m - either pay it or do one (excuse my French).
