Here we go, blatant two tier judiciary

I’m not sure Glastonbury has ever been for people like you, Matov.

100%. And I am the one encouraging it.

But the licence fee....mhm...that is for people like me. Hence why I can happily comment away. If I don't have to help pay for it then fair play but I do.

Also, on a personal level, and very much at a friend of a friend type of distance (although can name the names) have a little insight into the family behind this and they are not quite the benign Soc.lib types they like to portray themselves as.

I thought people like you don’t pay the license fee.

I am a law-abiding citizen. I pay my license fee. And my taxes. Bring my kids up, help my neighbours, do all that stuff. Married, try to be a good Catholic (ok, on that bit I struggle but thats the bloody point of it), act civily towards all.

This is what the Far Right do these days. We get married. We have families. We support each other.

Whilst you on the Left sneer at us.

I’m a married law abiding catholic with two kids, Matov. It’s almost like not everyone fits into neat little boxes you can label, isn’t it?

Plus chuck in being Palace fans and we have much more in common than difference.

I don’t see why they were the only act not to be streamed live. Whether you agree with them or not them being cut from the schedule is against freedom of speech isn’t it?
But where is the balance? Where is the act that counter balances them, I though the BBC is supposed to be impartial.

I would not ban them I think they are idiots but no doubt they would say the same of me.

This might shock you Badger, but there’s not a wealth of right wing musicians and artists out there.

Ah so no need for balance then.

Is the balance for Kneecap right wing? I'm not sure it is?

No one is stopping there being any balance. Just not sure you’ll find much in the creative industries.

There’s very little joy or happiness to be found on the other side of the political spectrum.

To be fair there are but not really 'pop' music. Which is fine.

I must say though that Glastonbury could teach HMG a thing or two about how to keep unwanted guests out. Top notch security and fencing. Odd how borders matter sometimes.

Who’s on the right wing Glasto line up then? Jim Davidson with a kazoo?

The Right don't tend to gather in fields. At least not for pop concerts.

But going into beautiful Opera Houses and listening to this....different kettle of fish...

Whether the acts at Glastonbury type events actually believe what they say or are just looking to elicit a positive response is moot; they are trying to make money after all and pandering to received opinion is one way to get audiences onside.
There are some musicians who are politically knowledgeable and genuinely concerned about societal problems but generally, as someone said, it's not advisable to take much guidance from some knucklehead who spent his school years learning how to play a guitar and a lot of his time since either high or drunk.
