have to agree.
They seem to buy young players a year or two before they 'need' them and loan them to lesser European league to adapt to European football. Clearly it won't work for every player, but even a 1 in 3 or 4 success rate has proved to be very profitable.
It also means when they sell a player for silly money they don't have to rush into the market to buy a replacement.
They do appear to be paying big bucks now (Rutter for £40m after a pretty average time at Leeds!!), however, as they got so much for players like Caicedo, Cucurella, Ben White to Arsenal and Alexis Mac Allister to Liverpool etc they can afford to do so.
I know he's had injuries but maybe sending Franca out on loan might have been a better option for us and him.
