Grooming gangs

Corporal punishment would I really believe put a stop to a lot of offences and not take up jail space.

Personally I would stream it to hear the screams of the tough guys but for many that a bridge too far I know
Another wishy-washy Liberal.

That is obviously not the timeline. We need action now, and with the pace of change in the modern world there is no reason to be so pessimistic and defeatist.

We teach the current and future generations our values and expectations and deny them school time access to anything else. We restrain any alternative teaching in places of worship by locking up those who do it under hate law legislation, forcing it underground. The youngsters, being as intelligent as any others, will see the values they have been taught as part of the modern world they are part of and reject the world described by the elders. They would argue, whereas in the past they would just accept.

In the meantime we detect, punish and deter any whose attitudes and beliefs permit them to commit crimes, especially sex crimes involving children, with vigour and determination.

It requires a change of mindset on our behalf which recognises where the real problem resides and what the real solution must be.
Educate religion out of people!
The Soviet Union tried to do this, along with their satellite states like Poland. Religion is as strong now in those countries as it was before communism, whose 'education' and ideology sits in the dustbin of history (and in Steeleye's mind).

Religion, communism and other pervasive ideologies ? responsible for more Wars & murders than anything else in History.

I refuse to coin the term 'Grooming gangs'......sounds like hairdressing. Were These Rape-Gangs driven by an ideology that sees Kuffar girls as less than human ? merely quarry to be trafficked back and forth from house to house ?

When a religion treats its own women who are raped as criminals there should be no tolerance of it from us.

Not that the facts matter to many people these days.
What are you trying to say? We should believe her absolute bullshit?

If what she is reported to have said had been true, I would have agreed that she deserved to be sacked immediately.

But she didn't say it.
It's a double standard and could just as much be a lie as a "fact". We're asked to take her word for it. Total rubbish - like nearly all "fact checking" I've seen.
Loads of people quickly deleted tweets yet were prosecuted and/ or cancelled.

Here you go: Yes, it is possible for someone to be imprisoned for a tweet even if they quickly delete it. The deletion of a tweet does not erase its content or the impact it may have had, and law enforcement can still investigate and prosecute based on the original message, especially if it has been shared or viewed by others.
Here's why:
Evidence of the deleted tweet:
While the tweet may be gone from the platform, it can still be accessed by authorities. They may have screenshots, copies from social media companies, or other means of retrieving the original message.
Impact and intent:
Even if deleted, the tweet's content and the intent behind it can be relevant. If the tweet contained threats, hate speech, or incited violence, it can still be considered a crime, regardless of its deletion.
Prosecution and legal consequences:
Some offenses, like inciting hatred or violence, can lead to criminal prosecution, and the deletion of a tweet may not be a sufficient defense. The severity of the offense, the potential harm caused, and the user's intent are all factors in the legal process.
For example, a BBC article reported that Lucy Connolly was jailed for a racist tweet that was deleted before she was arrested, but it had already been viewed by a large number of people. The court considered the content and impact of the tweet, not just the fact that it was deleted.

She did say this though

Who has suggested we try to educate religion out of people?

My suggestion is nothing of the sort. Even the most bigoted could not accuse all who belong to the Islamic community as holding unacceptable attitudes. It’s not the religion itself that’s the problem. It’s the hatred that certain interpretations engender and it’s the hatred that must be removed.

It’s no different with any other religion. Extreme interpretation that results in intolerance and hatred is not acceptable. The Westboro Baptist Church regards itself as Christian whilst many others believe it is a hate filled cult.

When any religion is based on love and shows respect for others it is a force for good.

"There ought be no compromise over it and religious influence banned from all education as a first step." [Wisbech Eagle]
