Why is my reply political? I have criticised all parties, the fact I mentioned Starmer was because he has made great play about taking action when DPP, he therefore knew the extent and ethnicity of the perpetrators but until this week has refused a National Enquiry. An enquiry I believe should have been sanctioned years ago by Parliament. Hope this is not too political for you!

That is probably true as the Right wing economist John Maynard Keynes (who is part of the Milton Keynes name) strongly supported eugenics. Not a policy most voters liked to be honest.

Because the primary tone of this report is criticism of political inaction on the various previous reports. Criticism that lands squarely at the door of the Tories who are now squabbling about it and trying to blame Labour. When was Starmer DPP? Was ethnicity data collected then, and cancelled by the Tories? The report published today specifically says that the data does not exist upon which to draw conclusions, even if there is enough evidence to justify ensuring it is collected. Which it will now be.

This will become a political dog fight, rather than a genuine learning exercise, if the major parties don’t put aside their prejudices and cooperate.

I don’t think that’s true!

Commonwealth wealth citizens who have “right of abode” can stay without restrictions. Once here they can then apply for citizenship after the qualifying period. They then have settled status.

Trying to understand what motivates anyone to do anything like this is the key to discovering how best to eradicate it. For sure we need for those with inside knowledge of that to give evidence but whether that evidence can be presented publicly is another matter. It might not be safe to do so.
