Bishop Challoner School in Bromley (fee paying). Closing at the end of term, for good. VAT on School Fees the final straw. There are other issues schools face, including fewer youngsters. Demographics are changing for sure, with fewer kids being born, even though overall population size has exploded.

VAT on school fees is a policy that penalises those who scrimp and save.

Mind you, I’m always reminded of Diane Abbott’s son Who on the subject of being sent to private school said

“She's not a hypocrite, she just put what I wanted first”

Glad to see that £50k education taught him what the word hypocrite means, so maybe he would would have been better off in the state system.

Mind you a few years back one of the accounting governing bodies got her to do the intro about successful women in accountancy.

That’s a bit like making Gary Glitter and advisor to the Culture Secretary and asking Harold Shipman’s advice on how to reduce waiting lists.

Sadly she wasn’t pictured wearing odd shoes. That said had she been, I’m sure she would’ve said she had an another matching pair at home.
