Ballymena is 75% a Loyalist town. The groups being targeted are neither british nor irish, not catholic nor protestant. Allegations of rape gangs and all of that.

It is simply staggering how rape just becomes a minor offense to them where they favour the people who are accused of doing it. It is rather chilling how quickly they seem to be able to just turn off the empathy. Maybe the poor girls in question should just close their eyes and think of Imperialism?

Never forget the likes of the Labour MP Naz Shah who not only liked but then shared a tweet that read the following.... “Exactly Areeq, those abused girls in Rotherham and elsewhere just need to shut their mouths. For the good of #diversity.”

We live in a country in which it is an accepted fact that grooming gangs were allowed to not only operate, but effectively protected, by entire swathes of the leftie progressive institutions ranging from the Labour Parliamentary Party, to the Police forces to social services and all parts between. Not accusations but the finding of numerous reports. An indisputable fact.

The collective left turned a blind eye to what was going on (and that is a generous intrepertation) of mass rapes of underage white girls for decades. And only had to face up to it in the face of over-whelming pressure. Even now, they seek to deny us a national inquiry.

And one day there will be a reckoning.

I think suggesting the ‘collective left’ is responsible for that is an enormous stretch.

I think the individuals and institutions shown to have covered up or ignored the reality are despicable, no argument.

I think suggesting roughly half of the population are somehow responsible or implicated in that is a nonsense.

while you are broadly correct Eagle, i wouldnt let the Tories off scot free neither. An awful lot of awfulness has happened on their watch too.

The people of N.I. are similar to those of Sicily. In the sense of a general mistrust of Government and the Justiciary. Not trusted to do the right thing.

Ballymena's plight ? It is not just an isolated town in all of Western Europe.

I most certainly don't let the Tories off. I am convinced huge swathes of them would rather have sweeped it under the carpet and that if there had been an electoral advantage in it for them, then lots would have been equally guilty.

I also hold the wider white population, including myself, to some account as well as a huge amount of the girls who were abused would have been written off by many of us as people not worth defending for a variety of reasons, many of which I am ashamed to say I held. There is a collective shame in us for that and I am under no illusions.

But the Left, in a variety of guises, were the ones with the administrative and legal power. They chose to actively support it.

A shameful period for our entire nation, in which very few of us escape unscathed from at least an element of the blame.

There will not be a day of reckoning cos i will not be fighting and probably not yourself neither.

Possible. I do try to think this stuff through, perhaps more than most. And with rumination can come the risk of not doing much at all. So for the moment, will accept all of that.
