I'm not saying Biden's son didn't do anything wrong but Trump was clearly going to undertake a witch hunt, hence the pardon.
Similarly, any official involved in Trump's court action, where let's face it he was as guilty as sin, such as Jack Smith from the Justice Dept, have also been pardoned as Trump would come for them.

The BBC, via its Verify checking service, issued a stinging rebuke of the claims made by Trump’s Press Secretary. In unusually strong language they took them apart, showed them to be completely false and based entirely on misrepresentation. They called them lies! Which the evidence they presented left no doubt at all about. They were lies.
