Season tickets 2025/6

It does bother me the news that they will now need to move everyone out of the old stand before working on the new stand. Originally they were going to build up / over and around the old stand allowing season ticket holders and others to stay. Now they will have to find seats / areas to move everyone from there? That’s why I expect they haven’t issued our season tickets yet. I hope we all get our existing seats but I’m not sure how they can do this without causing us existing season ticket holders around the ground a lot of pain?
That could well be it, I'm sure it would be cheaper just to bulldoze the old stand and start from ground up, certainly quicker.
That would mean moving elsewhere for a season.

I would imagine that from early Monday morning the club admin are scouring other club websites to see what they have published in terms of format / ticket offerings for - Season ticket renewal / Community Shield / Europa home & away / etc, etc & trying to see how it could mesh together (to give the appearance of something structured & well thought out) before they publish any blurb.

Apparently you have to pay £10 to get on the ST waiting list. Is this correct, and how do i know where the seats would be??

You get £10 off your season ticket if offered the chance to purchase. You’d choose your seat then. Not everyone on waiting list will get the chance to buy, depends how many don’t renew etc

I believe the minimum size of the pitch that is required in European competition is 110 yards x 70 yards.
Selhurst Park pitch is shown to be 101 yards x 68 yards. Therefore it is too short by 9 yards, and too narrow by 2 yards to host European events

Even without the problems that the proposed old/new stand generates with a possible reduction in capacity,we now have a problem of a 9 yard shortage of pitch which would certainly reduce the ground capacity and therefore the amount of season tickets available.

I think that is why we are all waiting for a ST renewal date.Unless someone know different.

I think that 101 by 68 is metres so we’re ok on yardage.

For the UEFA Europa League, the dimensions of a football pitch must be between 100 and 105 meters long, and 64 and 68 meters wide.

The Selhurst Park pitch is 101 meters long and 68 meters wide

No issues at all ......

Requirement for league stage games onwards is: 105 m long, 68 m wide (115 yd × 74 yd). Automated under-soil pitch irrigation system and pitch heating and/or pitch cover (depending on the location and climate) must be available.

The "100-105m" only applies to the qualifying rounds (which we aren't in)

Steve P has confirmed pitch is fine in an interview a while back. You only have to extend the pitch if possible which we can’t is my understanding

I think the delay is due to stadium and potential closure of main stand as too expensive to build over the top of the existing structure

Club are cutting it fine

Must be difficult though trying to think of a fair way to accommodate all the season ticket holders in that stand next season. I should imagine there’s not going to be many, if any matchday tickets available next season, it’ll all be season ticket holders in what’s left of the ground, unless we have to stick with the rule that says a certain percentage of tickets must be available for purchase every game, then they have got a problem

I get all of that about the closure of the stand etc. But, every other club seems to manage it. Theres enough money sloshing around from 10 years in the EPL that they need to stick to the initial plan in my view. And, this stuff could and should have been pre-empted and a plan drawn up if these are the issues.

That would be sad to have the main stand closed for next season while we are in Europe 😔
It’s all speculation because the club don’t tell us anything. (And, to a point, why should they)? BUT I do think they are treating their customers very badly by not detailing anything at all about the season ticket renewal delays. It almost feels arrogant that they know we’ll renew (if given the option) and they know they have enough customers if we don’t - so a ‘f**k em, they can wait’ attitude prevails. Thats, personally, how it feels to me.

They feel like that about a lot of things. But it's rarely genuine malice, it's usually just incompetence.
