Textor buying Everton? / Bids to buy Palace outright

Gets better really, didn't know Lage was even in the frame, just goes to show. Ticket price rises to pay for it, hmmm . . .

I don’t think this will come from Palace finances, although it may reduce any further income from Textor. We really need to get this aspect sorted asap, can’t afford for it to drag on imo

You'd think after all that's happened with Textor I'd be immune to the surprise of something like this.

He's the Boris Johnson of football club owners. Utterly inept.

How will we ever get rid of him.

Just another saga with the 'Textor Circus'

Eagle Football have had success with Crystal Palace? Anyone know what (if anything) they have actually done to deserve that accolade?

Textor and Trump are very similar. Both a pair of a***holes.
Only they are completely different! One is a multi billionaire that has got his country making money again within the space of a few months. The other became very wealthy (no one knows how when you look at the decisions he makes) and is slowly losing his money with more and more bad decisions.
Best case scenario would be Textor to sell Palace shares and go. Preferably to Harris, Blitzer and Parish.

it's because Textor is inept, that eventually he'll hold other shareholders to ransom buying his stake.
He seems like a lead weight around Palace, dragging them down financially.
edit; I mean dragging down in the sense he spends his money where HE wants, NOT where the other shareholders want to spend it.

This was in the Guardian Report from the Forest game:

"Oliver Glasner had signalled his intentions by naming the same side that demolished Aston Villa as the New York Jets owner, Woody Johnson – who is reportedly interested in investing in Palace – watched from the stands with the chairman, Steve Parish. "

Situation needs bringing to a close

The US economy shrank in Q1 2025 due to Trump's tariffs and trade policies, having grown by a promising 2% in the previous quarter. There is a good chance the US economy will enter recession in the next quarter according to many leading economists due to the continued impact of the tariffs and the uncertainty created by Trump's erratic behaviour. One person who has done very well out of the Presidency is Trump. Like Trump I would imagine Textor's involvement in Palace is entirely self-serving and he is thinking about his bank balance ahead of any romantic attachment to the club.

If we were to win the cup and enter Europe it will give Textor a hard decision to make, does he cash out at our most successful period in our history, or does he look to build on that success and potentially increase the value of the club even more.

It does feel like we have a ceiling due to the size of our fan base compared to the bigger London clubs and the impact of PSR so to my mind we're better off continuing as we are with Parish in charge of things, as boring and unambitious as some might see that.

If, we win the cup & go into the Europa League, Textor will have a big decision to make, as it also looks like Lyon could also make it into the EL as well. Under UEFA rules it compromises the multi-club ownership rules. He may have to 'dilute' his holding in us same as Marinakis did with Forest because Olympiakos are also in contention for the Champions League.

Interesting...

I suspect some players - as well as Glasner - will also likely stay if we win the Cup.

I don't think so much has hinged on one game since the play offs.

This from the usually well informed Ed Aarons.
It's never straightforward at Palace and I've lived through Bloye, Noades and Goldberg along with rumours about Gadaafi's son taking over at one point.

Don't forget Puff Daddy!
