I just want to highlight my disgust at the establishment in my own country.
I have zero trust in our judiciary.
You can end the life of an innocent new born infant under the diagnoses of 'post natal depression' in this country and receive a f***ing two year suspended sentence. When deliberately ending the life of someone you get the judge talking about 'compassion'.
f***ing DISGUSTING.
Yet sitting in a real jail for two and a half years is an actual mother of zero murdered children Lucy Connolly and she's there for an emotionally unwise social media post on the Southport murders that she quickly deleted.
We don't have a justice system. We have an injustice system.
I have zero trust in our judiciary.

That was my point but he’s a righty so obs guilty, so many years later. Why so long to report these crimes !!!
These charges have been in the post for years. It’s the only reason he’s ’converted’ to religion and now supposedly right wing is to try and get support from the gullible online right and claim he’s some sort of victim. He’s an awful, awful man.
Wouldn’t be surprised if this encourages more to come forward too. It’s a bad enough having to live with your life being the victim of rape, let alone go through it all again with the police and then in court - all with a slim conviction rate due to it being so hard to provide conclusive evidence. That’s why many women don’t come forward. This will be high profile too.

Not unusually we have yet another example of a non expert know it all offering opinions without access to the facts. Judges do. They know the context of events. They are also experts in the application of justice.
It might be instructive to actually read the Sentencing Remarks by the Judge in the Connolly case. The context is not as described above:-

I'm trying to be objective, and maybe Historical sex Crimes is deserving of its own thread. (trouble is, you can't be too specific)
Trying to get physical evidence of any assault that would stand scrutiny in court is impossible. The most you are likely to prove is that two people were in the same place for a time.
In celebrity cases, I don't buy the general after-the-event statements from co-workers that "everyone knew they were up to no good". You will always find people with scores to settle.
And there seems to be loads of them. Huw Edwards, Phillip Schofield, etc
And if they are properly convicted in court, I have no reason to doubt the verdict.
The one in the papers at the moment involves someone who really divides opinion and my own take is that I am not an admirer of his TV persona's or attempts at humour.
Everyone deserves a fair trial and a 'safe' verdict.
Maybe this might be a case of him upsetting someone in the Establishment and at the cutting edge of Lawfare. Then again, he might be a rapist. (cue the , "he looks like a wrong 'un" , "I never liked him" comments,.. 😀 )

If Brand is a rapist, which I don't for one second believe, then the very history of his career would prove precisely the opposite.
The left do very little to attack those with dubious sexual transgressions who are on the left..... from the very worst like Epstein, to the moderate like Weinstein, to the many many involved in the entertainment industry who are left wing. (entirely the entire industry is left wing because these bastards filter out the right...unlike how the right treated them in the past).

And there we go. Brand’s plan was to garner the support of people like this man when the s*** came down the pipe eventually. And they’ve lapped it up completely. You don’t have to be a sex offender to get the support of the online right, but it helps.
Let’s just wait for the crowdfunder and the online US right to start campaigning for the US not to extradite him back to the UK.
Maybe they can put him next door to the Tate brothers.

For example, I'm on the right...been called a neo Nazi by several people on here. Yet, just as with free speech, I'm not politically tribal on sexual matters, never have been and I don't intend to start now. While I have my opinions on the alphabet ideology and what the left actively support I've never supported prosecuting people for sex that is overage and is consensual.
All the way back to Bill Clinton commiting adultery in the White House to Harvey Weinstein and his casting couch, I've never supported ruining their lives over consensual acts. That doesn't mean I in any way support this behaviour but putting people in jail for it goes too far. Instead I support a cultural shift that promotes good social behaviour instead of what the left and social liberals have actually done....which is promote sexual degeneracy while picking and choosing to finger wag at the same time.
You seem to be supporting lowering the bar for conviction on rape. Justice in the UK is now politicised and not only that but you want to send people to jail based on 'he said, she said'. Regressing back to the Salem trials.
If I were Brand I would highly doubt getting a fair trial in the UK.....the country that found in favour of Amber Heard....it's a joke. The British authorities want to put Brand in jail and if he turns up to court I don't think the truth matters.

I could reel off a list of comedians who have had this done to them.
The left don't care about merit and.....as has been said many times....are quite prepared to lower the bar to only include their own.

I don't believe Russell Brand was a rapist, I remember that time and loads of women use to throw themselves at him. You bang enough crazies and eventually they'll take you to the cleaners if given the chance.....and they have been out to get Brand for a while.
It was nothing to do with his comedy, it was the fact he was an inappropriate sexual leach who wouldn’t take no for an answer.
One of my mates is a (female) comedy agent and some of the stories make you wince. This has been going on for years.

I was criticising Brand for how he was back when he was on the left and you had pin drops from the left. Now he himself criticises this behaviour.
Brand must have gone to bed with thousands of women, I regard this claim to be highly dubious, whereas you seem to want to convict on 'he said, she said'.

As for comedy agents.....I think I everybody knows now that the comedy circuit have lost credibility when it comes to treating people fairly. If you don't follow their political line you become their enemy.
That is the nub of the matter. Brand's reputation has been well known for decades the prosecution are going to have to prove that the victim did not consent.
I'm not sure what evidence they will have, doubtful any forensic besides Brand will probably admit they had sex but it was consensual.
If it comes downs to he said she said I would not find him guilty.
