Lawfare.....not Warfare. But still nasty.....

Sure.

It’s a serious concern wherever it exists. Which is just about everywhere in every society across the world. One individual stating the obvious isn’t really an earth shattering revelation. It could be said about many situations. Trying to eliminate it is an ongoing task.

Breaking the law is wrong and Mrs.Hitler needed to be punished.Would you want a convicted criminal running the country? We have already put up with the skullduggery of the Tories giving PPE orders to their own members and wasting millions when Michelle Mones merchandise was found to be unusable. I was thinking of calling for the Tories to be found guilty and barred from the next election but why bother they are already in the act of disappearing.Reform are now second in the polls.

That's quite a change from the original assertion that it doesn't exist.

'At a time when the rule of law is being undermined by populist leaders who view an independent judiciary as a threat, the judges’ verdict has drawn a necessary and salutary line in the sand. Although she will appeal against the ban, Ms Le Pen was caught bang to rights. Showing characteristic contempt for the European Union’s institutions, as well as taxpayers’ money, she and her cronies illegally siphoned off about €4.5m (£3.8m) to fuel their party’s domestic rise between 2004 and 2016.

A fake jobs system, with Ms Le Pen at its heart, facilitated embezzlement on an industrial scale. Beginning after her election as an MEP and continuing once she became party leader, it merited exemplary punishment'.

Lucky not to be in clink never mind being barred from office.

Both you and I know Steely....hell anyone with a brain cell still functioning that 'misuse' of EU funds is on a mass scale in Brussels.

The only reason that Le Penn has been persecuted is because she became a realistic threat to the liberal order in France. If they were going to prosecute politicians for this then most of Brussels would be in court. Due to the failures of both the social liberals and left Le Penn is by far the most popular politician in France. So we see the same tactics used against Trump being used here.

Regardless, the court banning politicians from running for office is an outrageous overreach of judiciary power that is going to have repercussions all over Europe let alone in France. It would be a double standard but at most this should have been a fine.

The populist right are under attack from the corrupt liberal order and lines are being drawn that really aren't good for any of us.

As for this idea that the French or even European judiciary is independent? Come on dude, it's a liberal gatekept establishment.....They reflect their class structure and would be just as against your politics as they are against Le Penn's.

Unfortunately there isn't an independent institution anymore, they have all been corrupted by activism and self interest.

She did get clink whoops....

On top of the ban on running for public office, Le Pen was also handed a €100,000 (£82,635) fine and four-year prison sentence, of which two will be suspended.

This will not apply until the appeals process is exhausted, which could take several years.

Unlikely she will ever serve any time therefore.

I would have done the french equivalent of a 'runner' personally.

😳

The bit I don't get though is why they think doing this to her is going to damage the Rights chances in France? Its like they have learnt nothing from the US when Trump was effectively gifted the US election as soon as they released that mug-shot.

Le Pen gaming the EU party funding is something every political party in Brussels does. Nobody who might consider voting for her party is not going to put off and I reckon a % who were erring might now get behind her based on the perception/reality of this being unfair.

Those who oppose the Right are not very bright as is evidenced, time and time again. Its like they don't understand that the not only the rules of the game has changed but that by trying to interfere in the game, they just make those they oppose seem hard-done by.

It's all they have left. They have lost the argument and the results of their folly are there for all to see.

Once they cross a line, there is no telling what they will do to stop the people wrestling back their countries.

Is this what we won WW2 for?

Not quite all they have left. They can, and will, go a lot further.

You need to start thinking of them as junkies. Literally addicted to open borders because of how warm and fuzzy it makes them to think of themselves as 'White Saviours'. The Left are like missionary's but in reverse. Rather than looking to go to the third world to convert them, they welcomes them to the first, and then try to get them to love the Gays and the Trannies.

With the rest of us having to foot the bill, both literally and metaphorically.

And like the worst kind of crack addict, they will drag everything around them down.

As I suggested.

How many will become enemies of the state for daring to oppose them?

More evidence that what's happened to Le Penn is transparent to anyone honest.

Whataboutism on fire!

That the system has been corrupted is no reason why any individual involved in it should be given a free pass. Especially if they seek high office.

Those who argue that those who seek that simply because Le Pen is leading in the polls means she should be given an exception have got things completely the wrong way around.

The opposite is true. They need to be held to the highest standards.

Most British guys who died fighting in that war would be disgusted by what has been done to their country.
