My understanding is that the appeal has been and gone. Decision of red card upheld on Mateta.Surely this can be used in the appeal case?

It was. No Man City type delays for us - it took about 20 minutes to decide. My understanding is that the appeal has been and gone. Decision of red card upheld on Mateta.

I'm surprised it was a long as that given who we are.It was. No Man City type delays for us - it took about 20 minutes to decide.

The 20 minutes included a "comfort break" because they were laughing so much.I'm surprised it was a long as that given who we are.

Tell that to Wharton. I'm sensing a theme with refereeing. The ref also didn't think Porro, already on a yellow, should get another even though the foul was given because "the bar is higher for a second yellow".

It's almost as if the ref's don't know what the f*** they're doing!

Having only taken a cursory glance at the footage and comparing it to the Mateta 'Red' card, what was apparent is the fact that whereas Mateta lunged at Van Der Ven, Bogle did not hurl himself and did not make contact with such severity.

Mateta did lunge, however he did so before Van de Van had got to the ball.Having only taken a cursory glance at the footage and comparing it to the Mateta 'Red' card, what was apparent is the fact that whereas Mateta lunged at Van Der Ven, Bogle did not hurl himself and did not make contact with such severity.

With respect Willow and in Matetas defence our man was trying to play the ball and caught the Spurs player . There was no intent to even foul the spuds playerHaving only taken a cursory glance at the footage and comparing it to the Mateta 'Red' card, what was apparent is the fact that whereas Mateta lunged at Van Der Ven, Bogle did not hurl himself and did not make contact with such severity.
