I might be wrong, but In my view sub par performers this season in Mitchell, Wharton and Richards would all improve under a new manager in an organised setup - returning to the form we all know that they are capable of.

Parish is prudent on the cash front so it's likely to be an out of work manager like Frank or Dyche, both of whom have their merits.
I'm informed that hiring McKenna could prove expensive such were the terms of his release from Ipswich.

McKenna's managerial experience in the PL amounts to 1 season when Ipswich were relegated with 4 games remaining.

I wasn't advocating McKenna.
He's one of the linked names, and I was pointing out possible complications if we we were to pursue him.
I did not form the impression that you were advocating McKenna.
I was merely highlighting his lack of managerial experience in the PL.
Ipswich have indeed retained financial protection in his contract and I believe that any club wishing to acquire his services before 1st July 2027 would be required to pay a total of £8 Million.

In the event of Sage is to depart who would you see as a realistic option as our new manager?

There is no current vacancy or there are people better qualified than me to make that decision are mealy mouthed fence sitting opinions!

On HOL we are a 'Broad church' with a common creed and the smorgasbord of opinions is most welcome.
I am a mere mortal amongst the erudite luminaries who grace HOL with their wisdom and insight and I bow down to all those whose presence adds tangible value to this cherished site.

It was a genuine question because from your observstions I can see you know and understand the game and you also know Palace.
Thus you are as qualified as anybody else on here to venture an opinion.
For me Dyche would be the safe choice, but I have a preference for Frank.
It may be that he would be more in tune with our present squad and I admired his work at Brentford.

If the club does decide to change manager, I think the most likely option is Thomas Frank. I just don't see Parish wanting to go back to a Hodgson type such as Dyche. My belief is that he wants the club to move forward not backwards.

This is most kind of you, however whether I "Understand the game" is a matter for debate !
Apropos our club, I have been an avid supporter since the 60s accordingly I have a degree of historical knowledge !
I have of course perused the debate about managerial candidates.Pierre Sage is in situ accordingly I do not wish to gallivant down that line of discussion.I am willing to provide any salient information about the names suggested as I have done.

This is 100% about survival at this point. If Dyche is the best bet to keep the club up, it’s gotta be him. Frank probably has the better upside, and would be my choice long term, but if that’s the case you should’ve hired him in May and maybe we’re not in this position right now.
Frank was sacked in February by the Spuds. We should of gone in then as Glasner had already said he wanted to leave. Our form was dreadful end of season, papered over by a Cup win in which we were one of the favourites. How many times has a team carried a manager through half a season? We are not Pool and Klopp. Fraid we should of got Glasner out when he wanted to leave. With the amount of points we had in the bag and the Cup any half decent manager would of got us over the line and had time to build a team.

This is correct. Unfortunately many people and most importantly Parish can’t see that Sage is totally out of his depth. It’s not rocket science.

Nuno is rubbish and Frank seemed to lose it at Spurs. I think Dyche is less tainted and the most basic. I believe we have to go back to basics.
The events after his removal showed just what a hospital case Spurs were last season. De Zerbi managed to save them (just) and despite the club dishing out £300m on new players has only just managed to put a few wins together albeit two of those were against Coventry and us which isn't saying a lot.
