Think he is a good squad option but certainly droppable. Not sure Sage agrees with that and plays him regardless.

Think we need to get Sarr in the team and drop Kamada further back

I would say he and probably all those that play in the midfield 2 (normally him & Wharton) would suit a midfield 3 better now that our wingbacks push forward so much? Just use Sarr and Matetta as our more forward players. We shall see if any formation change is forthcoming tomorrow night. Sadly I have my doubts :-(

I thought the same the other day.

It would make the signings of Guessand, McNeil, Gozo, Osorio seem completely pointless though... But I guess they've not exactly done much anyway. I'd quite like to see a bit more of Osorio tbh.

Could not disagree more. Timber is exactly what we need alongside Wharton. The only reason he gets dropped is if Doucoure gets up to fitness and regains the form he had at his peak. Our defensive frailties at the moment are all down to the system and the weak defence, not Timber.

I don't understand for the life of me why you'd suggest moving Kamada back, when he's finally playing well and starting to contribute as a 10. This season is the best he's looked by a country mile. Leave him where he is. The future of our midfield is Wharton, Timber and Doucoure...with Hughes/Lerma doing a job too when needed.

My thoughts as well. JSL is a waste, Timber, Wharton and Lerma in midfield and hopefully Richards on the right. Would have liked loanee Cardines on the right wing back. Not very optimistic and 3-4 goals against will probably seal the destiny of Sage.

This injury, whatever it is, simply reveals our lack of depth in the midfield, unlike the forward options albeit with quantity over quality atm at least.

An unconvincing performance tonight and another defeat on Sunday will probably seal his fate.

Not sure I agree. In theory if Doucoure could ever stay fit, Wharton, Timber, Kamada, Doucoure and Lerma are actually good options.

We'll never do it but based on current form I'd say Wharton probably deserves to be dropped more over Timber.
Glad you mentioned Coucoure; he's been missing from the last couple of match-day squads. I wonder if he is also injured again??? I can't be bothered one way or another to look up if he is even in the Euro squad but if might be useful if was at least available and fit

In the summer, apart from Timber, we acquired McNeil, Osorio and Gozo.
I suspect many supporters, at this juncture, are far from enamoured about the acquisitions of the last three mentioned.
Gozo is one of the most highly rated young players in the world.

He may not evolve as hoped. He may.

To judge him as is could be premature.
