Crystal Palace vs. Nottingham Forest match thread

I think we did ok, 2nd half, Benitez was mostly kicking up the pitch, less tippy tappy, IMO Larsen, Pino both had decent games, Lerma and Kamada best two, very pleased for Sage, but he needs to stop the Tippy Tap at the back, they are not good enough on the ball, Delap looked awful, Gibbs-White dosent fit in the system, at all
Yes our errors are schoolboy stuff

I can't begin to imagine what the approach will be against Brighton, but Sage has proven against Leeds that he can rein in his more expansive tendencies. The away trip to Lyon will probably determine the line up.

Anyone been on the Forest forum to troll them see what they made of it?
I've had a squint at a couple of sites and the overriding comments suggest our second goal was offside and the third was a clear foul in the build-up. Well, they would say that wouldn't they.

Someone wondered what Benitez had been sniffing to be that sharp.

A few questioning Glasner's team selection and team formation (sounds familiar) although I can't see any suggesting he should go.

This post is a classic: So.... apart from the offside goal and the foul on keeper/handball goal, how was it?

This game mattered more to me than Brighton or any other 'needle' match. I wanted Palace to win decisively and I wanted Palace to play the more 'ambitious' football of the two teams. I got what I wanted! Couldn't help a chuckle when the commentator remarked around minute 76 'Forest need some different ideas but they don't seem to have any'; seemed to ring a bell!

Fair play to them then, I think we would have wet our pants more than this.

I honestly still think we should sack Sage and bring in Howe.
I'm sorry, but on what grounds would you do
this ? Sage has had hardly any time with the squad, we lost our best two defenders last season, we don't have like for like replacements and we've had one of our best players in a major sulk. We have to give him time. The consensus on here is that we're a bit more gung ho and less tight at the back and in general fans appear to like that approach. We've got 7 points from 6 games and two cup wins. It's certainly not grounds for even considering the sack, let alone pulling the trigger
