But yet people out there swallow the biased BBC coverage who have frequently cited figures and information from Hamas (terrorist organisation) run ministries in Gaza.

Not really relevant to my point.

And on so called BBC bias, perhaps Israel would open up the theatre to western observers and the foreign press so they could report on what they see rather than what they are fed.

Do you never question why Israel keep things so tightly closed?

On the contrary I think it is directly relevant to your point.

You are saying that any questioning of IDF statements automatically makes someone pro Hamas here?

But yet it's the same mindset that ignores that the likes of the BBC (which I provided a link to an example) routinely treat Hamas run ministry figures as primary sources while treating Israeli ones with far more scepticism.

I would also assume that the reason why Israel limit media access to a warzone is fairly obvious? If not then I can tell you that it is usually standard military practice for operation security and has been done in numerous wars zones.

To try get make some common ground with you I will admit that I would of course like to see independent (unbiased) journalists reporting from Gaza to provide a better picture of what is going on there.

And you have never seen journalists with hard hats and flack jackets clearly marked "PRESS"? bang in the middle of a combat zone?

I am aware that forces control access even where press are deliberately inserted into military units but like you I can't help feeling Israel would get less negative media if they were more open.

There is relatively small portion of Western women who do go to the Middle East and Africa to live with their "true loves." The most famous cases are an English woman who married a Massai in Africa and the American woman who married some guy from the Jamaica that they made a movie about (yup, based on a true story where they left out the minor details of what happened after). I personally came cross it in a backwoods place in Afghanistan.

They all have the same traits, excessively liberal and believe that the west is evil. They initially believe in the Noble Savage delusion. And then it all falls apart when shockingly, they realize that men who grow up in cultures where it is ok to beat your wife end up beating their wives. Spousal sexual assault also ends up being incredibly common. The majority end up going back to the West or are murdered by their husbands.
