Closer to home there is mixed marriages.

Largely accepted by the white community.

Largely vociferously opposed by Jews, those of colour etc.

We oppose = racist.

They oppose = cultural.

Fair enough but as Badger says people pick their prejudice and there is a great deal of self righteous hypocrisy about.

Also as is oft repeated the criticism on here is of Israeli government not people. And there are members of that cabinet whose views have more in common with the Iranian policy on LGBTQ than ours.

I hope, whatever our personal politics might be, that there is unaminity on this.

Every legal resident, politicians included, has a rightful expectation for protection under the law whilst going about their daily business. No exceptions.

No legal resident, whatever their politics, has the right to commit acts of violence against anyone just because they disagree with them. Should they do so then they must face the full force of the law, unless the law determines they weren't of sound mind.

In my opinion we almost all respect and abide by these principles and the vast majority of those who don't are ultimately found to be of unsound mind, whatever their purported motivation.

So attacking the "left", or the "right", when incidents occur, isn't accurate or helpful. We should be encouraging reasonable security for those who need it most.

Yet you always mitigate and play down such 'incidents' as you call them when carried out by the Left while, when far less serious 'incidents' are carried out by the Right, you call for fast and draconian punishment.
