I see the women are making a better fist this time around, in spite of that shellacking by Spurs. An away point today, although they did give up a late goal. Mid table assuming they do not get docked points for that illegal substitution

I was at the Spurs game, the sending off early in the first half had a major impact. Did well to get to HT at 0-0, but once Spurs scored twice soon after half time the floodgates opened.

The Brum away game brief highlights popped up on YouTube, is this really the top flight of women’s football? The ground was near empty, obviously hollow and no atmosphere because of this and the standard was dreadful, the goalkeeping even worse

I know each to their own, but every time I attempt to watch it I really find it hard going and I do try every now and then

All valid points. However, I have been to a few of Palace women’s games and enjoyed the experience. It is a much more family oriented atmosphere. There is very little of the prima donna stuff (feigning injury, arguing with the ref, and so on) that you get in the PL, and absolutely no VAR. And it’s affordable. I was getting pretty sick of the bent PL even before the Man City verdict.

I do get that, if I still lived up that way I’m sure I would’ve given it a go by now and I’m sure like the men’s game it’s actually better being there, as apposed to watching it on tv, especially at Sutton on Bromley’s ground. This seemed ridiculous playing it at St Andrews. I think I’m just quite shocked how poor the quality is when I do try and watch given that it seems to be bigged up and advertised on all channels so much now.

I mean good luck to them but its quite obvious that woman can't physically play to the level men can, do they not have a huge number of acl's in the WSL, its also subsidised by the men's game and im sure sky admitted they purposely overpaid for the product. It should run itself and if It can't, then they should be made amateur.

Bless them. Good luck to them for giving it a go. I've ironed a couple of shirts recently and did a reasonable job so a bit of role reversal gets my backing.

Woman should be at home cooking , ironing and cleaning if they have spare time to play football then instead they should get jobs serving beer instead of sitting with there husbands interrupting a serous conversation about if Aston martin or Ferrari is the best car , I shall now hide behind the sofa so I cant be found

Took the kids to a few games when they were in Bromley. That was quite a nice experience v low key, kids able to change seats every 10 mins.

A few of the players are decent, but the keepers. Oh my. Literally every shot is a complete roulette.

I cant see any way in which the game grows. Its been pushed and pumped for years now, with on field International success, but you take Arsenal out and attendances are dire.

They should have their own website /forum/ kit/ name ect not be riding on the back of established football clubs .
At least have there own forum sub section where this thread can be moved to as it has nothing to do with PALACE TALK .

No-one is forcing you to look at, let alone open, any thread associated with them.

They are Crystal Palace women supported by the club and play in Palace colours. I see no problem with their exploits cropping up in Palace Talk. I like to know how they are doing and find the occasional thread on Palace Talk of interest. Fine if you don't but just move on rather than trying to censor what elements of Palace you think are worthy of discussion.

Dont get your knickers in a twist Plumton , I didn't even know what WSL stood for in the context of Palace talk ,I thought maybe Strand Larsens brother Willie had signed or something .

As I say no problem in the girls having their own spot but for me it shouldn't be in Palace talk or even Football talk for that matter . How about Ladies football talk , everyone would know the score and those who want to natter about it can do so without interference from the blokes who have no interest .

Go'wan da gerls.........

Forget about South London.

South East London is ours too. From Greenwich to Southend on Sea and onward to Folkestone.....all Palace dominions. And let Coco the Clowns cry.

How many people really care ?
It seems to me that it’s people and families who can’t get or can’t afford tickets for the mens games. It does seem like a laid back fun fair sort of atmosphere for people to take their young kids without fear of any trouble or stress about large crowds. Obviously you get big crowds at the England games and when Arsenal play at the emirates, but in general the crowds are still poor
I have been shocked how poor the crowds are when I have put various highlights on considering how much the bbc and sky big women’s football up
