Ismaïla Sarr

I'm happy to be exploited/commoditized if all that involves is playing football and being paid millions per year. Where do I sign up? Emailed info@cpfc but didn't get a reply...
I'd be more sympathetic to this if it wasn't coming from the agent. It's no better than the pimp accusing his girls customers of exploiting women.
Is the system any better than a cattle mart? Probably not, but having the single most expendable link in the chain pointing this out is a bit rich.

We're supposed to be trying to tie down both Sarr and Mitchell to new deals
( mind you the term 'tie down ' seems meaningless these days).
I thought we wanted to get Sarr to sign a new contract earlier in the summer and assumed he was unhappy with the terms; hence the desire to move.
If the club is looking for Sarr to stay, I hope he has a new agent to negotiate with or we may have to use Luca Brasi to accelerate the discussions.

Possibly he could’ve made the difference, but would he have stopped the late goals we let in against saints and Charlton which ultimately sent us down? We’ll never know

He was a great attacking midfielder, scored loads of goals. We’d have had our flip flops on by the time we’d played Charlton.

Cahill is arguably the greatest header of the ball in PL history. Only average height, if that, but he scored 31 of his 56 league goals with his noggin. In comparison, Mateta's data is 8 from 50

in the closest relegation battle in premier league history, he could’ve made the difference, but we’ll never know for sure, knowing our luck he would’ve got injured first game

I’m pretty convinced he would have done.
AJ with 21 goals , probably more with Cahill playing.
Plus Cahills overall play and goals.
Him, Poyet and Bowyer arriving late in the box to score , proper box to box midfielders.

Couple of hundred grand probably cost Jordan tens/hundreds of millions.
Oh well I enjoy listening to him on talk sport now.

It’s funny you should say that because he enjoys listening to himself too.

It’s weird that with his height Mateta is zero threat from our corners with his head.

I wonder if Jordan himself thinks that now and whether he’d ever admit it, I’ve read his book along time ago, but I can’t remember whether he mentions it at all.
His stance with cahill agent back then really did make me think about it at the time and realise what greedy scum they can be and I did agree with him at the time, why should a club pay an agent that only works for the player, i’d never given it a thought until then

At the end of the day, Sarr has been a great player for us. His agent has turned his head and unfortunately for him and us, he may never be the same player again. I am starting to think and agree with others on here that we should get rid of him and Mateta in January. It’s not good for team spirit and we should be able to bring in some decent replacements with the cash we get for them.

It's all about the money that can be got for them, we've seen Parish cash in when the price was right or there has been no other choice. Like with Zaha, Parish valued him at £70m and ended up with a disgruntled player and nothing. Granted he did well to get £68m for the very average Eze, but who's coming in for Mateta and Sarr for big money? Mateta would have been off to Italy if his medical didn't fall through.
If a decent offer comes in, take it and move on.
