I saw on the stats that we have conceded 2 or more goals in our last ten league games. That's awful.

I don't think the poster was suggesting we wouldn't get any points in the next 6 games. I know you, along with a number of others, have already consigned Sage to the scrapheap, but I think we'll be fine with him in charge. I expect us, as I've said elsewhere, to be clear of the drop zone and in midtable by Christmas. If it takes 6 more games for us to be competitive in fixtures against a good but still mid table (over the course of a season) side then we really are stuffed. We don’t have 6 games to do that otherwise we will be adrift at the foot of the table.

Actually, we thrashed them 1-5 at Elland Road the time before last (Apr 23). They were then relegated and we've only played them there once since - last season's drubbing. After this afternoons games, I feel strangely optimistic. Not that I'm ever anything else. I know its not realistic but I'm going for a Palace win up there, for the first time in X amount of years
Before anyone starts. Its just a feeling or maybe a vain hope.

I like this. Leeds will certainly score, probably more than once. So we just have to score more. Simples.Leeds 3 Palace 4
We seem to be finding it easier to score in Sage's new system. However, we also seem to leave the gate open a bit in defence. Could go either way, but the optimist in me wins this one.

Of course, my confidence might be misplaced but I'm reluctant to give up on Sage st this stage as it's far too early IMO.

The game today against Leeds today is very much a litmus test, it will define our season one way or other. After all, how long can one go on saying "it needs time, it'll come good in the end"? Conceding two (and more goals) every game means relegation, and if results don't improve by sometime in October then Sage will be a goner, so he has time but not much of it, as we can't afford to be adrift. The poster said it would take 6 more games to be competitive. Not win, be competitive.
I haven’t consigned Sage to the scrap heap but his tactics and the way the team is playing just won’t work in the Preimer League. We can’t be so open in defence and conceding three goals a game. His approach to squad management is also questionable at best. We’ve had a oretty soft start for Preimer League fixtures and looked shambolic.
So either he ha to change his approach or he and us will be in trouble.
I hope he can and I hope you are right because that would mean we have won games. I have my doubts though

I share your concerns.I am concerned with our ability to deal with the aerial strength of Leeds today.
Richards is decent in the air usually, even allowing for his struggles this season, but otherwise we look a bit lightweight.
Assuming Tomiyasu comes in for Disasi, he is competitive in the air without excelling.
I haven’t seen Ahanor tested in the air yet, but it would be unusual for a teenager to dominate in the air at Premier League level.
Canvot has poor timing in the air and his headers rarely seem to go where intended.
Sage may argue the key is to stop the crosses, but that’s virtually impossible when spaces are left behind the wing backs for opponents to exploit.
Calvert Lewin is outstanding in the air with great spring and the ability to hang in the air before heading the ball with accuracy and power.
Expect a barrage of crosses, long throws and set pieces today.
