Predictions and team for Middlesbrough

It's a strong looking, well balanced team and we'll get a look at some new players.
Hughes is captain and it will be interesting to see this back 3.
 
Palace: Benítez (GK), Tomiyasu, Disasi, Ahanor, Mingueza, Timber, Hughes, Chilwell, Pino, Osorio, Strand Larsen.

Subs: Matthews (GK), Mitchell, Khalaili, Lerma, McNeil, Kamada, Wharton, Gozo, Guessand.‌

Looks sensible to me. Guessand and McNeil off the naughty step but Sarr still AWOL.

Not there tonight but will be watching.
 
More standard 3-4-3 than last time. Couple of interesting players to see. Osorio, have high hopes for him, fingers crossed🤞. Dare I say it was one of Pino's better games last time. Ran out of steam but some actual good passing. Mingueza and Timber - will be interesting. I want more than what I've seen so far from Mingueza and Timber already looks good - can he keep it up?
And last, but not least, come on Strand-Larsen. Be the actual centre forward we've seen tiny glimpses of so far.
Just maybe Sage can get something out of Strand-Larsen. Maybe.

Newcastle would have been in it after they won the prior year's Carabao. Luckily for Palace, they also qualified for the Champions League. I wouldn't have fancied our chances if we had met them in that competition and there would then have been no Europa

The league was only allowed 1 qualifying team for the conference , so it would have been a bigger issue to deal with
