But it happens though doesn't it. The example set by Liverpool and Isak recently. Thanks for that Liverpool. Why should a club, doesn’t matter who it is be blackmailed by a player/ agent because they want a move to a bigger and so called better club. Sarr was quite willing to sign a contract when Palace came knocking on the door. We have seen this so many times in modern day football, players going on strike, not in the right frame of mind, fretting injury for FFS because they want their own way. How many people in this world don’t like what work they are doing and would love to do something they love and earn unbelievable money. Just for instants let’s say
Sarr did get his move to greedy pool I bet he wouldn’t be playing week in week out, a club were you are expected to be on form week in week out, just the slightest dip, as we see so many times you then start the bench warming player. Then you have the same old story the player complaining that he is not getting enough playing time and of course what do you hear from the manager of this so called massive club I have to do best for this football club.

If he didn't like that he's really not going to like the new one.I'm starting to think that this is all because his song isn't as good as Mateta's.

The PFA agreed the rules to protect players. I believe the maximum a club can fine a player is 2 weeks wages. If a player downs tools and feigns injury what clause would likely be in a contract whereby a club can sanction such behaviour? I've wondered how players can get away with it.

yes, for certain Sarr is deadly in front of goal. But it baffles me how these Giant clubs will sign a known cry-baby ? a trouble-maker.Agent wouldn't care about that. Doubt he'd care if he ever played.
At 28, a big move, big sign on fee and a big 5 year contract to take Sarr through to retirement is all he'd care about.

More than reasonable. Who among us wouldn't willingly sell their house and all it's contents and get a second job to donate to a fund to help him through the emotional maelstrom engulfing he's undergoing?Agent wouldn't care about that. Doubt he'd care if he ever played.

Unfortunately Sarr has previous at Watford and in France which we most have known about so the club needs to think about that as well.We need to be known as the Club that doesn’t put up with being blackmailed by players and their agents. It’s the only way to prevent us signing bad eggs in the future.

I feel like we should have sold him. When a player wants to leave for more money, there is not much point trying to prevent the move. Even when he does play for us this season, I doubt he will be that committed. Loyalty to clubs is a thing of the past now. I feel like these footballers are so out of touch with reality, sad really when he comes from a country where a significant majority barely have enough to live on. Deleting his Instagram photos of palace is just childish. He is good but he is not Pele. Get a grip man.
Yup. The article about our transfer window stated that Liverpool were told an amount which would release Sarr but never came back with a counter offer. This suggest that he wasn't a priority for the Scousers and they were just trying it on (not that I blame them Palace do it all the time).Reports now stating Liverpool tried another of their low ball offers. The maximum they got to apparently was £45M and when we rejected that they didn’t follow up.
I agree I would’ve been ok with us selling him…but for £60M plus, NOT £45M!
I hear you but there are plenty of examples of players making trouble to get a move and then been outstanding for their new club. Both Michael Essien and Dider Drogba kicked up a load of trouble to get their moves to Chelsea. I don’t imagine any Chelsea fan regards those signings as anything other than a brilliant successyes, for certain Sarr is deadly in front of goal. Your past-history is the best predictor for your future. Reminds me of Mario Ballotelli..... not really top-drawer talent if he keeps throwing his toys out of the pram.

The general approach (and not just at Palace) seems to be to appease the player and/or facilitate the sale. I can see the logic for this approach:We need to be known as the Club that doesn’t put up with being blackmailed by players and their agents. It’s the only way to prevent us signing bad eggs in the future.
