Our present squad

Sano has been rejected by Mainz according to Sky Germany and we've gone back to Marseille for Timber, and also are involving ourselves with Lamine Camara because the 39m euro deal to Chelsea collapsed (let's face it, won't happen)

Well we know what it is now . Fofana opting for Sunderland was a disappointment and not getting the Timber deal done seemed a waste but we dont know the ins and outs of whats going on .

Keeping Sarr and Mateta is a bonus though I think we are putting a lot of faith in the loan signings at the back .

If we get Timber over the line, along with our other attacking midfield/wing signings, I’m going to scream if Sage is still too scared to change Glasner’s formation. It barely even worked for Glasner towards the end.

We lost 2 crucial CBs for a back 3 in Guehi and Lacroix and have used this window to bolster our midfield whilst only playing a middle 2.

Surely now you pick your 2 favourite CBs (sorry Richards if that means you’re benched) and then pack the midfield to stop us getting walked through.

If we play 4 at the back and most defenders are fit then probably that's right but Richards did play a couple of games in front of the back four. Maybe an option there.

Good call. Also, I’m not against Richard’s being 1 of the 2 CBs if that’s what the Manager wants, I’m just soooo sick of the back 3, epically when it consists of nothing special CBs (compared to Guehi & Lacroix) and we only get 10 outfield players and we have 3 distinctly average all out defenders.

Technically not in our present squad, but has anyone else noticed who is currently the top assister in the championship. I hope we kept a recall clause in that loan for January if needed.

I’d be happy for him to spend a season playing in the championship ,playing every week , not spending most of his time sitting in the bench and when he’s one of the top rated players in the championship he comes back next year and actually gets to play in the epl for us or we sell him for 15-20 …

A solid season playing every week will really boost his development.

Prefer the first as it’s reassuring for the kids in the academy to see there is a pathway .

This it would be hard to argue that that wasn't a brilliant window.

Squad looks deep and competitive with a bunch more full internationals signed.

Well done Parish and Hobbs

The only slight blot on the copy book was JP and Sarr. I personally wanted them both gone. It will be interesting to see how professional they are and/or how tolerant we are of them.

what has happened to Raksaki and Esse?
Esse was having a medical at Millwall yesterday with regard a loan but it all went quiet . Seeing I missed the after hours transfers last night (why they cant get it done like yesterday I don't know) He could now be anywhere .

Nobody suitable wanted Rak-saki though I believe there are still some options on the continent for another week or so .

Neither are in the first team squad in the App. Which is pretty telling if they both still are players for the club.

Does it?

I’m gonna be honest and after a lively personal period, I’ve somewhat ignored Palace as I fully expect the next couple of months to be an absolute sh!tshow.

I was thinking the squad was in a very similar state too! :drunk::drunk:
