There are players who leave the club in the right way, and our fans don't begrudge it, even if we're sorry to see them go. Guehi, Eze, Olise, and now Munoz are among them.
Then there are the players who leave the wrong way. They submit transfer requests, refuse to train, make statements on social media, and let their performance drop, etc. Zaha and Mateta are two of those examples, and, quite frankly, at least in my mind, it taints their legacy.
Never thought Sarr would be among that group; he seemed a good lad. It's very disappointing.
Quite frankly, he should have insisted on a built-in release clause, but given that his career was in the doldrums when we signed him, I suppose it didn't occur to him. We have revitalized him and given him a long, well-paid contract.
If he doesn't want to be here, it should have been sorted at the start of the window. Once again, Liverpool is coming in late and causing problems. I hope we make him stay, and Sage can get him firing again, even if I'm going to spend the season thinking he's a bellend now.
