Palace Summer 2026 transfers?

Last season was built on defensive resilience, but since last summer we've sold the two most important components for that. To expect Sage to have a solid backline is quite an ask at this stage. The fact is, we need a first-team-ready centre-back to come into the club before 11PM tomorrow, ideally one who is a leader, or this could be a very long season. At the other end of the pitch, Sage is having to rely on players who misfired under Glasner over the last 12 months. We cannot afford to let Sarr go, even if it means him sulking for a few weeks. He signed a 5-year deal and he's only played two of them, so he needs to suck it up. I feel for Sage as he's had to field a weaker first XI for his first two games while being expected to improve on what Glasner achieved last season.

I know we are subject to spending retrictions, but we are the lowest spenders in the PL this summer, and some analysts have suggested we have a lot more wriggle room than perhaps our current outlay suggests. Hopefully that means we'll get some deals done.
 
Anybody get the feeling Steve has over promised to the the US owners, perhaps: yeah, we'll still make a profit and stay up while building the new standard.
And to Sage: yeah, you'll get your players. There'll be plenty of money for transfers. There's a good group of lads to build around. We run a tight ship.
 
People have been joking about Steve saying ' ...ran out of time....difficult window etc...,' but that seems inevitable.

By my reckoning outgoings alone in JRS, Ozoh, Devenny, Esse and Franca have yet to be organised.
That's not factoring in the incomings, which are all very mysterious.

This smacks to me of the operation of a two bob outfit rather than a professional club that has been in the Premier League for many years.

Yes, I know we've won three trophies and Parish is a great chairman and that I'm a 'bedwetter' and that we will probably stay up.
Nonetheless, I prefer it when we have a settled defensive unit made up of players who will be here for longer than a year.

Maybe for the best… no one knows how this season will pan out or who will be here next season (manager and players)

I myself have put in a transfer request… I’m looking at signing for a s*** c*** team with a smug b****** manager and f***ing fat chairman I can get behind… any suggestions?
 
Tomorrow is D Day - if we get Ahanar, Ezzalzouli and Timber over the line - will be a very good window..!!

We’d have of left it late again - and it’s already cost us - when will Parish ever learn.

Am I confident - no - got a horrible feeling it will be just one of those in, when we need all 3 if Sarr goes.

We’ll see over the next 24 hours..!!

Yeah, with Charlton and Brugge pulling out we're £15m worse off than we expected to be. That has to be hurting the incomings.

We've never been good at extracting value from our bench. Tottenham are an example of one who does this quite well. Instead we sell and buy first teamers and pray they slot in immediately.

What the past year has taught us is that Parish's objective of selling only one star per window, and staggering contracts to assist in this, has been blown out of the water.
Not necessarily his fault, Newcastle and Villa have similarly suffered even with players under long term contracts.

The trick now is how Palace respond to this 'new reality' and whether an adequate response is even possible.
 
So Jesus is signing for Barcelona for £8.6mil. Obviously we would not be able to compete with the likes of Barcelona but in a day and age of crazy transfer fees how have they managed to get him so cheap, especially compared to what we have paid for the donkey known as Larsen. Yes I understand that Jesus has had his injury problems but at the same time he is still better than what we have available to us at the moment. We should have got in there before Barcelona were sniffing around. Just seems a bit weird and far too low of a few to me.

The fee is low because his salary is £250k/week, so a 3 year contract is going to cost Barcelona about £50m all in.
 
Prepare yourselves for incoming - City just opened negotiations for Enzo Fernandez - if this happens prepare yourselves for Chelsea to come in for Wharton - surely not..!!

Looks like at this rate we will have to put up with him and he either walks on a free or ends up like Guehi going to another English club for half the price.

And we can also enjoy some supporters going mental about false rumours as if they are facts, and getting angry that the club keeps them in the dark as if they should be consulted about transfer dealings. Before social media all the bed wetting was limited to daily chinwags down the pub where the offending patron would be asked to stop being a melt.
