Palace Summer 2026 transfers?

The team we had is over now, if Sage is happy sell Mateta and Sarr if they want to go, Mateta is not good for the dressing room if he doesn't get his way, Sarr deserves to go to Liverpool for a final big salary if we are not going to match 120k a week, which we wont, we are in a "transition" period 🤣
Yes, like a werewolf.

In the last 12 months we've lost Eze, Guehi, Lacroix, probably Munoz and possibly Sarr.
It's an interesting perspective from some posters on here that we are now better off.
I wonder if Sage and their erstwhile teammates would share this view.

Each of the named players wanted/wants to leave, one would have been out of contract and simply walked. Those that have already left are on bigger wages at bigger clubs. With the possible exception of Munoz, none hit the ground running and took time to bed in.
Some people accept this process. Others whine endlessly, yet fail to present a model for how you retain players who aren't happy. Other than by paying them money that realistically isn't there🤷‍♂️

I'm not seeking to present solutions or minimise the difficulties for clubs like Palace face.
I just present the facts about players leaving and reject the suggestion that we are stronger now which some claim.

We are not stronger now, as the season develops we will see if some of the new buys develop, i personally would sell Mateta and Sarr, and try to replace, Sarr especially with loans or loans with option, before we see how Sage is, the money MAY be needed for a new manager in the winter transfer, you have to assume that Sage was ok with what has been brought in since he arrived.

Personally I think we’d be buggered without Sarrs pace up front, mateta I can cope with leaving,he’s been hapless and wanting away for a long time, so get rid.
But having said that, if Liverpool offer us a crazy amount as reported it might be worth a chance just incase Sarrs best season is behind him and hope that Pino and Nketiah start to deliver and hope this Gozo is decent

Nketiah won’t deliver. If he could he would have had a season somewhere in his career where he’s done the business. He hasn’t.

Pino could come good. He at least has pedigree and some quality. It would help if we played a system that put him in his best position. Gozo is a complete unknown.

Personally I think it would be utter madness to sell one of the few players left in the squad who has shown he can do it at this level.

Mateta has to leave, a selfish, trouble making tosspot

I didn’t think the 1-4 scoreline reflected the game.
Nobody played badly and we were playing one of the best teams in Britain. Pino scored a wonder goal. The whole team played ok, without scoring and dominating but against a team every other team including Arsenal would lose to… so why the melodramatics.

I think Lacroix and Munoz wanted to leave but the bleeding should stop here. Sell nobody else. Ultimately unless players perform, nobody will want them so Mateta and Sarr have no option but to play and perform.

We need a centre back, a midfielder and one more in attack. That’s about £150k. We have that let’s just do it.

Eddie holds the record for most goals for England U21.

It is in him somewhere.

2 very near misses in 2 games. Inches away.

Mateta and Sarr have injuries that will pass the transfer deadline - considerably in Mateta's case.

I suspect the decision to sell or keep this window may be out of everyone's hands.
