Prof Jason Arday

On Twitter there are quite a few 'truthers' going back into old news reports to prove Arday did run the marathons particularly and also that he was a standout footballer - now claiming he played for Waltham and Hersham.

It is an ideological fight now to turn him into a martyr to.the cause. He hyped the story over many years but when his balloon got popped - well, it was the press as party poopers spoiling the grand circle-jerk.

The art of the lie is to have a semblance of truth. He did have sporting achievements but just not to the level he maintained.

Oh god too much contrary evidence.

Now I'm confused.

If they can't produce evidence of DIAGNOSED autism at 3 then I am swayed.

And my wife- well let her find out in her own way.

You know that this has been claimed as a lie but not proven.

He. claims to have been diagnosed with autism at 3. That will be in his medical records.

If they have an enquiry this will out.

Otherwise it will just be claim versus counterclaim.

I don't know.
My son’s girlfriend is non-verbal, she is 28 and has been since a young age. No help from NHS at all. Believe me, if he was non-verbal everyone would know, we have known her for 5 years and she still cannot speak to us, she can only speak to very close family. She has just been diagnosed as autistic as well. Anyone who went to school with him or knew him growing up, would be fully aware

Could have been masked. Again (perhaps conveniently) that is a symptom and may not have been identified then.

Like I also said, if his medical records confirm autism, then it is true. If they do not, then it is lie. This is what happens when you use words like "diagnosed". There is a paper trail.

Btw, I have readily admitted I am flip-flopping as the facts are currently uncertain. However, most who have posted on here have made their minds up before the facts.
All those marathons with a broken leg 🤔

So how does she communicate with people out of interest.

She whispers to my son or her parents, who then pass on what she is saying. I’m sure if help had been offered years again, this would have been solved. Such a shame as she is very talented potter and artist but can’t get out there on her own. She has just started hypnotherapy, which, hopefully may help but it is really expensive and her family have not a lot. So not sure how much she will have. NHS claim they have no access to this 🤔, shame she didn’t enter on a small boat.

Take her to palace. At least she can have a swear up with all of us after JPMs 5 th open goal missed 👍 seriously though that is sad and is it just a severe form of being shy?

Like I said up thread the BS could be symptoms of autism.

It is whether the autism is also BS.

Medical records would confirm medical conditions.

School records would confirm the other stuff.

Absent that it's all tosh.

And until then nobody really knows.

You really only need to read the incredibly racist Times Higher Education Supplement. The journalist who was warned by police investigated many of the claims.

This reminds me of those lone Japanese soldiers holding out on some obscure Pacific Island until the 1960s. Refusing to accept it was all over, that all scores had already been settled, the truth was long out and everyone had moved on.
