Pierre Sage says Crystal Palace are prepared to wait to bring the right players in, but will not to resort to panic-buying in the last fortnight of th transfer window.
"Towards the end of the market, everybody is in a rush, everybody can find the solution to their problems and find opportunities," Sage told Sky Sports News.
"For me, it’s not about that, it’s about the way you build your team, your squad, your roster and what kind player you are looking for.
"Sometimes you have to wait until the last minute, because negotiations are hard. That’s why we wait, but I think it’s not a good thing to take a player at the last minute because of panic buy.
"We're here to build a strong team with a lot of certainty that’s why the players have to be chosen in a good way and not with panic."
