I mean Chelsea have just signed Jordan henderson and danny welbeck.
Wouldn't be the worst decision I guess.

Yes, he was magnificent. But the time to let him go was when the club did. Move on.No bad idea in my opinion. He was our hero back then but that was then. Agree with everything has said about he would sulk and would give off entitlement vibes and this would affect the team, who for the last few seasons seem really together. We cant afford to risk upsetting this..

Got us promoted then kept us up single handedly for years. To call him ‘toxic’ is a bit strong imo. And how do you know the Americans were fed up with his attitude?

Most influential player in the last 20 years and possibly in our history and you come out with that garbage. ‘Overated’. Are you kidding? And Murray wouldn’t have scored half that many goals without Wilf. You really are ‘Grumpy’ aren’t you. Shameful.Complete nonsense.
We have achieved more without him compared to with him.
He did not single hand get us promoted the whole team did and he was part of it. (Glenn Murray that season scored 30 goals)
The guy is toxic as I said before look at all the clubs he has gone to and all of them wanted him gone in a small amount of time (ex Palace managers have even hinted he was very difficult)
The Americans have not signed hm so again there is the evidence and did you even see what he did over there he was getting into fights and moaning at his own players a lot.
People need to wake up and see reality when it comes to Wilf (The guy did have talent which a large % he wasted but he was always very overrated as well)
Let people remember more of the good times and leave it be we was awful towards the end spending more time sitting on the floor complaining all the time and that has not changed since he left.

🤣That fat c*** and the Austrian traitor probably want him at Forest after watching the video.
Agent Zaha your mission if you choose to accept it is to f*** Glasner's wife from Nottingham to the Austrian alps and back then lace Marinakis's lunch dinner and tea with ozempic and with luck after a week or two he'll completely disappear.
Over to you legend.
I doubt we would have let him train if the manager wasn't okay with him being there.I wonder if he'd be welcome at the training ground next week when the squad is back?
It is such a shame that (and for once the Hol are all on the same page) his attitude is whats holding him back.

Good post. I reckon his temperament was formed in large measure by being surrounded by very average players and being fouled all the time. The pressure on him to keep us every season must have been immense. The dislike for Zaha on these forums will always remain a mystery to me.
I can’t prove it, but it’s extremely unlikely that we would have been promoted without his contribution ( think of the play offs and final alone) and it’s also extremely unlikely that we would have remained in the Premier League without him.
There was an extremely long run of games when we could not win a game without him.
But leaving that aside , in my 60 years of following Palace Zaha remains the player who could get me off my seat more than any other Palace player.
I’m not suggesting he didn’t have some flaws in his game, but you know a player is special when you feel the level of anticipation in the crowd when Zaha received the ball.
He’d be pinned in by the touchline with three opposing defenders but drop a shoulder, roll his foot over the ball and then emerge clear of the defenders.
That’s my abiding memory of him, not the surly temperamental figure depicted by some on here.
Yes, he probably stayed a season too long , but should that taint his overall legacy?
And by the way, why shouldn’t the club allow him to use the training facilities in the summer.
There’s no chance of the club signing him again, and I hope he gets fixed up with a decent club if he elects to continue playing.
