You make a decent point.Shame about Gabbiadini because he was a good goalscorer before us but he just didn’t fit into the lump it upfield for Ian wright to chase system,🤣 he just didn’t have the pace

He become the milk monitor at school geeReally?? I’ve got to admit you made me google him for his career after us and apart from Lens he didn’t stay anywhere long enough to be ‘class’ no international caps either

Surely it’s happened at Chelsea ?Has it ever happened before that a club (any club) record signing has been in and out the revolving door in practically the same season?
If not another first for the mighty Palace!
Were getting it really good at this now , fun isn't it lolHas it ever happened before that a club (any club) record signing has been in and out the revolving door in practically the same season?

Yeah, and probably in the same window knowing them. 😀Surely it’s happened at Chelsea ?
There’s one very close to home - Clive Allen (QPR - Arsenal-Palace).Has it ever happened before that a club (any club) record signing has been in and out the revolving door in practically the same season?

And Clive Allen was also a swap deal I think, for Kenny Sansom. There’s one very close to home - Clive Allen (QPR - Arsenal-Palace).
Looking at Transfermarkt, it looks like paid Arsenal 500K more than they paid!

Spot on, was always going to be a tough act to follow, we basically needed someone with pace, which we didn’t get until we signed the brilliant Chris ArmstrongYou make a decent point.
When we signed Marco from Sunderland he was a roughly one goal in three games striker and guess what? For us he was similar, one goal in three games, including a goal in a win at Anfield.
His biggest problem was that he was not Ian Wright.
The tragedy is instead of buying him we could have had a front three of Bright; Salako; Collymore (with John hopefully not wrecking his knee, which was Marco's debut for us).

The quickest forward ever to player for Palace. Put his head back and flew. Like lightening….Spot on, was always going to be a tough act to follow, we basically needed someone with pace, which we didn’t get until we signed the brilliant Chris Armstrong

He wasn't just quick, either. He had it all. Pace, strength, skill, powerful shot off both feet, great header of the ball. The best all round no9 we've ever had, I'd say. Christ, what would peak Armstrong be worth in today's market? The quickest forward ever to player for Palace. Put his head back and flew. Like lightening….
