There seems to be more emphasis on width and provision of crosses.
It was a bugbear of mine last season how often our players were in good crossing positions only to knock the ball backwards or into midfield.
Understandable if we had no forwards in the box, but often they had made the run to get ahead of their marker and still the ball would not come in.
Of course the proof will be in the pudding and the new signings will have to perform better than Johnson, Esse and JRS.
I'm assuming that Sage is on board with the new signings and believes they will suit his style of play.
