Islamophobia in The West

The point is crap because no one has expressed a fear of every single Muslim.

It's a made up narrative.

Who has expressed a 'fear' of every single Muslim Dan?
And this is why it's such a useful catch-all term. It says, "you can't dislike me because it means you dislike everyone like me".
No. Sometimes it's just you.

Can one politely suggest that a supposed ‘alpha’ male who is scared of every Muslim is the one who may need to check if his balls are still present and correct?

Never called myself an alpha male.

I just call out bad ideas.

No it’s not - it’s irrational fear of. There is absolutely nothing that could be challenged about the term.

No it isn't. Irrational is optional. And in any case I don't think it irrational to fear a cult that is invading, killing and intent on our destruction or subjugation.

All made up narratives by the guy with the smallest balls on Hol.

How about the 'far right' Dan? Are you 'scared' of the 'far right'?

Why do you have an 'irrational' phobia of the far right Dan?

Is it previous history with the far right perhaps?

Shall we look at what the effect of Islam moving into previously non Islamic countries has been?

Where they 'irrational' to 'fear' their countries changing?

How about all the Jews who lived in those countries.

What about the Christians and atheists living in those countries?

How has it gone for them?

Did they have 'Islamophobia' Dan?

Absolutely not. All mouth no trousers.

Islamophobia is literally an irrational fear of the entire religion of Islam and all Muslims.

Are you arguing with definitions, or admitting you’re scared of every single Muslim on the planet?

It doesn't mention Muslims, it's about Islam. You can't be literal and then choose not to be.

Islam is to be feared, only fools don't fear it.

Why are you removing the key word from the definition?

And Islamophobia in itself isn’t a crime.
There is no need for such a word.

There are many things about Islam that are objectionable. None of them irrational. Is that Islamophobia?

There are many reasons to object to its spread. None of them irrational. Is that Islamophobia?
You are just too simple minded to think about the consequences of things. Either that, or just full of s***.

I've spent a significant portion of my adult life in the Middle East and what I have determined is that it is specifically Middle Eastern Muslims who are the problems.

Most East Asian, European and North American Muslims who actually grew up in those countries are fantastic people. I've talked to hundreds of them who have gone to the Middle East and been exceedingly frustrated with how many Middle Eastern Muslims don't actual follow Islam but instead give it lip service. It become enjoyable to watch as non-Arab Muslims would come in feeling motivated to help their Arab brothers and months later be advocating for turning it into a parking lot.

Very, very much this.

Plus even if a phobia is an IRRATIONAL fear, it means that it cannot always be helped. So for that reason I don’t see how it can be an offence.

But i do agree with you.

It’s literally not an offence. And irrational fears can’t be helped. It’s doesn’t stop them being irrational though.

The etymology is literally just ‘an irrational fear of Islam’. If you only find certain aspects of it problematic and don’t have a fear of the rest of it and it’s followers then by definition it’s literally not Islamophobic.

PV mentioning spiders and Stirling sharks is probably accidentally nailing it - fear of spiders and sharks that will kill/harm you = rational. Fear of all spiders/sharks = irrational.

If you’ve any spent any time with anyone who is an actual follower of Islam rather than someone who uses it as a shield to hide behind to justify them being a c*nt then you’ll realise they bring as much threat both physically and to your way of life than a daddy long legs or basking shark does.

Didn’t this government make (or at least, try to make) Islamophobia a criminal offence?

Only if it’s the reason behind a physical or verbal attack or threatening/inciting behaviour. Same with any other sort of behaviour towards a specific group.

Being Islamophobic in itself has never been a crime.

Would it be ok to have a t-shirt with a picture of a guillotine on it and a slogan of "We're only making plans for Muslims"? (Asking for a friend.)

Do you realise it’s the plurality that’s the problem here?
Right, so would it be ok to have a t-shirt with a picture of a guillotine on it and a slogan of "We're only making plans for Sadiq Khan"? (Still asking for a friend.)

Nope. And that t shirt wasn’t OK.

Having one with that slogan is far more of an incitement to violence than having one with a famous song lyric on it though.

(And of course you are)

The Bali bombing victims would disagree, as would the Christians kidnapped, raped and murdered by African muslims whether sub Saharan or North African
