Adding my 2 cents to this topic.
With Glasner gone and Lacroix too, feeling like everything good is being taken away from us it's easy to get disheartened, especially with reasonable doubts about the depth in quality and state of our squad and transfer business.
We should remember who is still here, The board and players, majority of whom helped get us FA Cup, community shield and Conference league trophies in a short period of time. This is something that can never ever be taken from us.
We have come off the back of our most successful period EVER but we are now at a stage of MASSIVE restructuring. Our squad looks reasonably worse than when we won the FA Cup. We have the development of the stand finally taking place 10 years in the making, We are getting our maiden voyage into the Europa League competition, and we have a month and a decent chunk of money to spend on transfers to bolster the squad without endangering the club via the new SCR system.
Can we get what we need to have a successful season? what constitutes a successful season for us now? Arguably we should be aiming at having a go at the Europa league and maintaining a decent position in the league but realistically so much has changed, from the team and the staff, to our expectations of them. Bad signings will happen, bad decisions will be made, but alongside those will be equally good ones, the likes of which got us to where we are today.
My only hope is that we remain in the premier league to see out this transitory period of stadium development, squad depth issues, transfer fiascos etc. I honestly thought we would have pulled a Wigan after the FA Cup. So as long as we stay in the prem we have a chance at improving all areas of our football club no matter how long or arduous the journey.
