Labour Party politics

In June 2023 Keir Starmer explicitly ruled out having an resignation honours list.

To quote, 'Tony Blair didn’t have a resignation list. It’s very hard to justify. There are other avenues for that, and I think it’s easier to be clean about this and simply say, no, I wouldn’t do it.'.

July 2026 Keir Starmer announces a list of 16 people for a seat in the House of Lords.

It sums up the man.....I must admit in my life he's the worst PM ever....and beating Johnson takes some doing.

This attack approach on our freedom of speech and civil liberties is likely....well to an extent already has been using religion and children as the excuses they use to control public debate and discourse. As said before we see children encouraged at highly sexualised pride parades and in reality no protections for Christianity.....because we know that these concerns are dishonest and only meant to censor Conservatives.

It's also used to censor criticism of their rapid change of demographics and the harm it does to native communities.. protecting their social engineering in society.....making it illegal to not approve of their destruction of native monoculture. When this was tried in South Africa the left never stopped campaigning against it.....but when it's done against the white Europe they celebrate it.

It makes a joke of democracy....it was never in any manifesto...indeed, the lying Tories said they would reduce numbers in pretty much every manifesto since WW2 and yet their voting blue rinsers never set a red line because they only go to the wire over their wallet and house prices....even though this does eventually come for them.

The British people have always shown a resistance to mass immigration and restrictions on free speech.....but we have been shown that there is no social contract between modern elites to the ruled.

These people have shown contempt for the society and the ancestors from which, most of them came. Like the Fabians, they lied in doing it and were the wolf in sheep's clothing. But it's the Tories who played along....look at the Times today, which is meant to be right wing....it's a social liberal paper that's only conservative about finance.

No, the Tories haven't conserved anything except for the expectation that their elites continue to be paid well......Even though their performance compared to previous generations doesn't entitle them to it.

Burnham says what we want to hear. It will happen but incrementally and not called ID whatever. They need to do something before 2029 to stop voters seeing an alternative!
Goner get very fractious in time.

So what do we all think of the new Cabinet? Especially our few and far-apart Lefties? For me, two stand outs. John Healy as Chancellor, especially in light of his recent resignation as Defence Minister. An intriguing choice.

And Miliband as Foreign Secretary? WTF? What on earth does he have over people in Labour? Decidely unimpressive, even if he is replacing that buffoon Lamey.

Miliband?....popular in the EU.

Burnhams playing us with Healy. He resigned when the budget didn’t stack up for defence and many shouting from the rooftops about how can we defend ourselves with no dough. Now he’s going to come for our money to fill the hole we were moaning about and tell us it’s what we wanted. I’m just watching the big short ironically and we are the mortgagees ha ha

New chancellor didn't know how many frigates we had when defence minister, good with numbers, tick.

New housing minister underpaid stamp duty, tick.

New Chancellor of the Duchy of Lancaster, convicted fraudster, tick.

Retained business secretary falsely claimed to be a solicitor, tick.

The future is bright.
The futures socialism. You will own nothing and be happy 😁

Andy Burnham is a left wing populist.

A kind of David Brent of the left.

A lot of what he wants in his speeches just isn't going to happen because the economy just doesn't work how he thinks it does or should. Obviously I'm a 100 percent against him on social issues....but a lot of what will decide things for him will obviously be the economy.

When you look at what he's said coming in....it's a lot of similar stuff to when he became Manc major in 2017 and when you look at the statistics basically none of that vision happened.....rough sleeping for example is now nearly back up to 2017 figures and the council house building programme made it to a few hundred......Like Mandani in New York it's about promising dreams and delivering nothing....even though I believe that he wants these changes.

Nevertheless, I'll give him a chance.....I like the intent and some of the anti neoliberalism stuff, I just don't see how it'll work in today's world......Nevertheless, like I say I'll give him a chance...though that's more than any leftist would say for an incoming Farage or Lowe.

I watched Starmer's departure and Burnham's arrival on tv yesterday.

Starmer listed his '' achievements '' - a very short list obviously, and even those could be challenged. And again it provoked the thought that if things were so good under his leadership, why has he been forced out ?

In comes Andy ' No Notes ' Burnham. Impressive speech from an accomplished communicator. As with Starmer two years ago, I genuinely hope he'll give the country what it needs and not what the leftie back benchers what they crave.

Early signs were promising with Reeves and Lammy ditched and the useless Peter Kyle sacked. Healey's appointment showed some out of the box thinking. But then came Milliband and Rayner - a reminder that the Labour Talent Pool is more like a puddle.

Burnham speaks a lot about ' Hope '. Well I hope he proves me wrong but I think he's all fur coat and no knickers.

“Angela Rayner was paid a five-figure fee (reported to be roughly £20,000) by the property trade body Propertymark to deliver a keynote speech at their annual conference.
Her acceptance of this £20,000 speaking fee drew criticism from opposing politicians and some industry professionals, who questioned the optics of a backbench MP (at the time) being paid by a sector that she was also in a position to regulate.“

Lucky she has now been reinstated as Housing Minister, having, allegedly, turned down tbe Defence job 🤔
I wonder whether she has spent the £17k payout when she was sacked as……Housing Minister?

as opposed to a Tory chancellor who retained his American Green card, another who paid tax via a non dom arrangement despite never having lived in the stated non dom country and another who deliberately avoided paying £5m in taxes when he sold a business and then stated he wasn't being investigated by HMRC when they were in the middle of said investigation
