In all fairness, one side of her supported the South African apartheid government. Even if you can justify that, it must be less easy to justify her passionate support for the Pinochet regime that overthrew the mildly socialist Allende government by bloody coup, tortured innumerable people to death and managed to "disappear" over 30,000 people.i remember when Thatcher died, much of the Mainstream media described her as not far from Hitler. They loved to associate her name with the Far Right. It was a shocking slur to her good name.

I'm not sure what secrets about the Falklands War are in the public domain. Pinochet assisted with it anyway - I think I'm allowed to say that. Nobody was happy about Pinochet but Thatcher seemed to be doing what was agreed on in return. If you really wanted to know.

The event is a Sharia law event. Why is that in the UK? It's also an event literally promoting Islam being more fundamentalist. But don't let that bother anyone. I'm not saying people should physically attack it. But I am saying it shouldn't be allowed to happen anyway.
My best mate served. He flew out to Washington with his squad on a commercial flight and then took another one to Chile. They took all their gear and weapons.
To this day he still wont say what happened after he got to Chile but I do know he popped up in the Falklands as I have seen the photos.
Pinochet was a monster but sometimes my enemies enemy....
Will wait and see what charges are laid rather than assume anything based on a BBC or other media report

That's what I find interesting. My mate was nothing special, so this isn't a BS story about the SAS or SBS. However if a small group of not very important sailors were being helped by the Chileans I think we can guess that there was a lot of unofficial co-operation going on across the board.

The media and police were very quick to say it was "far right" I mean pretty much straight away they said it was.

That's just not true.
Sky went to an address registered to Farage or via his company (of which he's the only director).
They knocked (without a camera crew present) and a woman answered. It was later confirmed that this person wasn't Farage's daughter, although it appears she was in the property.
