U.S. airstrike on Shahid Haqqani Port in Bandar Abbas.

According to some U.S. journalists, further strikes should be expected.

The strikes so far appear to focus upon economic centres.

USA have lost piles of Reaper drones, probably to manpads, so they are proving hard to dominate even with air power. This isn't the Taliban.

Btw, the flavour of Islam that this lot believe in, the Twelve Shia, relies on total world war in order that the prophet Madhi hiding in a cave for 1200 years is risen in the peace.

Global war MUST happen for this to complete.

Sounds fun.

Ye of little faith.

Lizards to the left of me.
Lizards to the right.
Here I am stuck in the middle of a zoo.

Hahaha.

You realise how silly this all this though, don’t you? You’re smart enough to realise it’s a numbers game and 99% of the population are just sensible, affable, peace loving people that just want to get on with their lives.

I include everyone on here in that too (i think. Or hope at least)

Dan, I believe in natural law.

I believe in the lessons of history and human nature.

I look at the direction of travel.....The way you describe things Reform would not be leading the polls.

I tend to agree, but I think that’s more to do with disaffection to the status quo rather than your Restore wishes.

Well, as is the nature of these things....the biggest factor will be economic....most people aren't political like us or you. I'm well aware of that.

But immigration is also a big component behind Reform/Restore support.....and obviously the direction of travel.

My position on civil breakdown has always been that it would require welfare collapse first.

Will that happen?....I think that it does at some point, but could I be wrong? Sure, all of us are wrong about something or other.

Some more than others though.

I agree with much of this, specifically the bit about it requiring welfare collapse.

What I don’t understand is that a lot of the right seem to be willing it to happen just to get the societal collapse required to get what you want.

I’m not saying it won’t and can’t happen, just seems you are after some sort of societal chaos to reset things to a new world order.

My anger is mainly reserved for how this situation came about......As you will note I complain about elites past and present quite a lot.

I have no pleasure in my heart for what would happen with civil collapse. The most vulnerable always suffer more when the sh1t hits the fan.

Personally I only see possible changes within countries rather than new world orders.

You over dramatise things in your head. Civil collapse isn’t happening anytime soon.

And UAE constructing/ up grading the port at Fujairah to bypass Hormuz in the papers.
It's DP world which has suffered from the drop in throughput at Jebel Ali

There are some alternatives to moving oil by tanker through the SOH, but if push came to shove they would be within range of Iranian missiles.

This is why it is important to take away Iran's military offensive capabilities outside the borders of Iran.

That includes the ability to attack shipping

Regardless of whatever anyone's position is......this doesn't look like it's ending well for anyone.

In some ways Iran and Israel are two sides of the same coin.

No concessions.

All acts met with overwhelming vindictive power.

Trump is a deal maker within the concept understood in the west who genuinely believed he could get a quick result in this theatre.

He is not the sharpest tack but I wonder if it has finally dawned on him why successive Presidents have avoided straying into these waters.

Really - you think Wisbech is sensible and affable?
