Reform

If you think is Nigel Farage you’re completely naive.
I'm not sure who you think it will be.

It won't be Andy Burnham for sure. It won't be Kemi. It won't be that muppet Davey or fruit loop Polanski.

These are the choices we have.

You wasn't actually laughing out loud was you.

The 'Usual Suspects' was a very good movie.

I suspect you'd be the one in the Police line up who spoke jive and nobody could understand.
Ok, calm down, old man.

So personal, it's endless put downs by you isn't it lefty. Why?

So, no answer to my post. Or are your comprehension skills not up to it? It's a clear point and I was looking for a less combative, more relevant response. Too much to ask?

So, was Pinochet right wing?

Not only knocking on your door but 'disappearing' you?

The point is a bit dim.

I don't know a lot about Pinochet as South America, like Africa, tends to bore me as they are generally failed states (though Argentina are interesting at the moment) Regardless, Pinochet or other times has nothing to do with what I was talking about. It was in another time and political situation.....like Stalin for example.

Stalin was a communist, which in many cases is the most left wing you can get.

Stalin's people knocked on many people's door who were never seen again.

Have I ever said that just by virtue of being left wing you're going to be Stalin?

No, I was talking about the nature of today's left and social liberals.....They aren't the same left of twenty years ago for example.

No one is saying that the right can't also knock at your door......With deportations they most definitely will be. But those people are illegal anyway and shouldn't be here.

The fact that I have to point this out is pretty annoying.

What's wrong? You don't like talking jive?

If you think ‘man of the people’ Nige is in this for any other reason than ego, power and personal enrichment you’re more naive than I thought.

There’s a reason why only the very rich or the very thick vote for far right populist parties; the very rich need the very thick to vote for them in numbers to gain power to make them even richer.

And I’m pretty sure you’re not very rich.
Dan, I am disappointed in this. I am neither very rich nor thick, but if you classify Reform as far right populist, well I will probably vote for them, as in my considered view the country desperately needs a real shift to the right. I respect your right to disagree, but my reasons for this opinion are neither stupid nor related to my personal wealth.
Insults to those of opposing views are easy but unhelpful - I don't subscribe to the "useful idiot" description often used by right wingers against the left. I don't think think you are an idiot, but I disagree with you fundamentally about how to improve people's lives in Britain.

The fact that I have point out that the right is just of capable of human rights infringements as the left is not annoying but just makes me sigh, mate.
