Reform

Looks like Reform are twisting the truth again (what a surprise). Seeing that the 'story' originated from the Daily Mail, this should shock nobody.

Not a comment about the current donation scandal from our brave posters. I imagine we would have generated dozens of pages of vitriolic posts if it were Burnham.

For my view, these donation scandals indicate stumbling, amateurish incompetence rather than blatant corruption. However, it also suggests singular unfit to govern. I see them as the Greens. There to influence rather than rule. After all, Reform don't even have a spokesman for every portfolio.

Not a party to be taken seriously. Which makes their possible election all the more concerning.

I remember when Farage got debanked. Those on the left said the banks have the right to choose who they bank with. And the right said it was dangerous slippery slope.

I wonder what their thoughts are now?
They at least deserve an explanation especially if Lloyds are holding onto their money. If this is the results of some government sanctions watchlist (in other words not Lloyds fault) they are entitled to know the reason so they can take legal action if they feel it is justified.

If it is purely Lloyds bank decision again they need to explain why they are holding onto their money.

I suspect that the Canary may not have told us the full story never the less banks have a duty to their clients.

Where were all your comments about the Jock Nationalists numerous scandals?

A further thought. The Canary has said they are on the verge of going bust this maybe the reason why Lloyds is holding onto their money. It may have nothing to do with politics just business.

They may have loans with Lloyds or creditors may have approached Lloyds as they are owed by the company.

If the reason is potential bankruptcy it would explain why Lloyds has kept quiet, standard practice if they make a public comment inevitably it would tip any company over the edge. Lloyds would then be sued for this. So dammed if you do.....

No doubt the truth will out soon.

Nobody cares anymore as the government have done it so much but are now trying to say other people do it. Well, I never. Only people who care are those that already don't like Farage. Starmer has spent his whole time on the take. Labour didn't declare a whole load of donations, quite clearly systematically, then sacked an advisor as though it were anything to do with him. Then carried on regardless.
Now, pretty much with any donations scandal, there is no scandal any more. It's standard practice and led by Starmer and his government's example.
I don't particularly like Farage frankly, but whatever about the dirty tricks. It's also pretty doubtful he can be worse than the current lot.

It’s extremely likely exactly this. The truth is often very mundane.

The vast majority don’t care - it’s all baked in to their opinion of him anyway. Similar to how Trump gets away with so much.

With stuff like this it’s always fun to replace his name with another politician’s. Imagine if it was Angela Rayner who had taken an undeclared £5 million ‘unconditional gift’ or was being funded by a convicted criminal.

Depends. If they seek to work hand in glove with the civil service and the City then they have a chance. If they seek to battle and limit the civil service and side step the City we are ruined.

Truss proved the folly of running theory rather than basing policy assisted by those whose work was forged through centuries of stress tested practise.

To his credit Farage has reigned in his outlandish spending promises which he had made as populist reaction to every event. Clearly he is listening to the City and understands the need for their support.

Rayner only underdeclared tax by 40k. Plus, she was a care worker with a son who has a disability. No one wants to ask how she has millions worth of property? You've backed up my point. Like you say no one cares - but this pretty much began with all types of scandals within the government party. All of which were apparently fine. So as you say - how can anyone take this seriously? Best thing we could all do is avoid tax at all costs. Like they all do.

I may view Farage as my second choice but regardless, I remember this statement by Cummings about the state and their dirty tricks. As we have seen in Germany and France and also by the EU's behaviour dirty tricks and increasing authoritarianism is the common mode of behaviour by liberalism.....like the Democrats did, they will use any tactic they think they can get away with.

Let me just save you some time in the next two years and tell you that we all know that there will be an endless stream of accusations intended to besmirch the character of Nigel Farage and Reform and none of it makes a scrap of difference.

This government are scum and we need to remove them and tackle the cancer that exists in our institutions. That is what matters.

Useful idiots like you need to think about their kids and their grandkids, growing up in this 'hell hole' as you sarcastically described it. Ideology won't save them when they are on a street bleeding out because some immigrants have carved them up.

People like you make me sick, quite frankly.

So to confirm you’re fine with the potential next Prime Minister taking £5 million ‘unconditional gifts’ from a billionaire who lives in Thailand who has made his wealth from an unregulated currency used to launder money and another being a convicted fraudster, yeah?
