Glasner to Forest

Its football, nothing surprises anymore. Glasner is free to go to which ever club chooses to employ him. Coppell went on to manage Brighton, our biggest rivals, but that didn't taint what he achieved with Palace, nor should it Glasner whichever club he goes too.
Its just a job to them, they aren't fans of any club.
Tainted it for me. I don't have the glossy eyed opinion of Coppell as most do.

If I had a proclivity to engage in wagers I would not have laid a single penny on Glasner picking up the 'Reins' at Nottm Forest.
He was linked with AC Milan but they appointed Ruben Amorim and perhaps his options in Europe were limited or not to his liking.
Glasner brought us unparalleled success, both domestically and in Europe and as far as I am concerned his efforts at our club are met with appreciation and gratification.

This is the reality.

He delivered more than we'd ever had before and it's damaged pride/sentiment more than anything, but it is just business.

I'll remember him for delivering the success, but not in a warm way. I won't wish him best of luck as he's no longer here and no longer my concern. I only care about Palace.

I think it strange, considering we have Europa League football this season and it is his team, to go somewhere that's as much of a sh!tshow as Forest but c'est la vie.

I think it also telling as well that in the merry-go-round, gravy train with biscuit wheels world that is football management, none of the big clubs came calling. I suspect there are reasons for that.

If Glasner wanted to rub Parishs nose in it ,this sure does it. And the clubs support as well. He knows only to well the recent history as he was a big part of it.

I look at it like this.

Glasner left Palace hoping for a big job and he could end up at a club who is not in Europe and is run by a chairman who will sack you in a heartbeat.

He could have stayed at Palace in the Europa League with players he knows and 3 trophies in the bank, but is now in unknown territory at a club that is supposedly bigger than Palace, but whose last major honour was 36 years ago with their anomalous European glory under Clough, 46 years ago.

Good luck Oliver...

Glasner and Marinakis. It probably won't even last til Christmas. But Glasner goes in with his eyes open, and no doubt has financial remuneration in his contract for early termination.
I think Glasner's press conferences, whilst at Forest, will be markedly restrained.
