World cup 2026

What a strike by Sarr 0-2.

😎
He has looked great at the WC playing centrally. What's that, 4 goals 2 or 3 hit posts and a open goal miss against France (or was it Norway). If Mateta goes, I can see Sage playing him down the middle with Larsen as back-up. Gives more flexibility for players coming in

I didn't notice that. I thought he spent a lot of time up front but could never get the ball. If he did, he couldn't do much with it. First half - he didn't do anything at all.
I missed most of the first half.

There were some very decent recovery runs and tackles from him - and frankly there needed to be when first Rashford and then Gordon were caught upfield.

What energetic and enjoyable attacking football Senegal play ,lots of movement ,running the channels shots at goal ..........a complete opposite to Englands static ,non running no movement attackers

Decided to go to bed with Senegal cruising at 2-0 after 80 mins. Belgium looking absolutely dreadful. I wake up to find Belgium are through. WTF

Rashford seems like a nice guy and campaigns for school dinners but after yet another badly executed shot/pass I had to Google his salary. £300k per week wtf. Why is he anywhere near this England team? Eze miles better.(Like many of ex-Palace players doing well at this WC).

It took Belgium 85 minutes to work out that the reserve goalkeeper was in fact a waiter that had been drafted in on the basis he could carry a tray full of plates without dropping it .Unfortunately he had a problem with the ball complaining it didn't feel right on a number of occasions ,especially when retrieving it from the back of the goal . 🙂
Shame for Sarr as he has been excellent at the WC

A little tense, but England did more than enough to win the game - it was good to see Tuchel making such aggressive substitutions (Eze for Spence!), which I don't think ever really happened under Southgate.

DRC are a very decent side, as anyone who saw them in group stage would know - no surprise at all that they gave us a game, as they did Portugal and Colombia.

Our defence is a worry and I'm not sure we have the solutions in the squad to solve it... potentially Konsa to RB and Stones back in next to Guehi would help..?

Mexico will be tough, particularly with the altitude and the atmosphere, but we have got weapons that can hurt anyone.

On we go!

I have a theory that Tuchel should play the shortest players in Mexico. As we all know the closer to the ground you are the more oxygen is in the air .

For example Ollie Watkins 5'8'' should replace Harry (Iv'e scored more goals than Pele) Kane at 6'2''
Thats six inches which I'm told by various sources makes all the difference to performance . 😛

Also means the likes of Burn , Rice , Pickford ,Bellingham and Stones may as well miss out on the Mexico trip and go straight to the next game

Not the very tallest players used to playing at altitude?
