Has anything official been posted or is it just all click bait nonsense, there is no way Parish valued Guehi st 75 (with 2 years on his contract) and values max at nearly half of that when he's got years...unless hes got a release clause!

Has there ever been any loyalty? even back in the day players were just mercenaries looking for the best deal they can get
Players who do hang around at clubs for a long time, its only because no one else wants them, people always go on about Jim Cannon’s loyalty, but believe me, if a top club had come in for him when he was in his prime he would’ve been off like a shot

The odd thing is that Roma has apparently bid £20 million for Chaloboah but Chelsea are looking for closer to £30 million.
He's in his mid twenties and has got a further 2 years plus a 1 year option on his contract too, so it's not the short contract or his age which are depressing the price.
Lacroix looks undervalued by at least £25 million if the rumours are true.

The transfer market is a mystery wrapped in an enigma.
I understand that goalscorers are always at a premium, but no team can succeed without a mean defence.
Lacroix would be one of my first names on a teamsheet to achieve that aim.

The only thing I wonder is if Chalobah is part of our deal. Haven't heard it, but fifty plus Chalobah would be more realistic.

I could cope with that, chalobah made a cock up or two with us, but generally I liked him and he was pretty solid and he did weigh in with three goals as well in his short time with us

Up close and personal canvot it is a real unit. Makes some silly decisions but a rock when side by side with opponents.

Thus if our model was to develop players to sell, it wasn't particularly succesful for those 9 or 10 years.
Make we wonder how we managed as we still achieved mid table positions during those years and there wasn't this clamour to sell our best players as the 'only way clubs like Palace can operate.'

That's correct, and I don't recall fans on here saying at the time that we should sell Zaha for 'business ' reasons and reinvest the proceeds in e.g a Strand Larsen and a Johnson.
A bird in the hand is worth two in the bush, or something like that.

Loyalty is only a virtue displayed by fans and very few players. The player that comes to mind is Nigel Martyn, he stayed after many of the 90-91 team left, he was playing for us in the Championship, whilst being in the England squad, he eventually left in 96, when we were in dire states and needed the transfer fee.
Players are no different from the majority of people, they want to earn as much as they can and play/work for the best teams/companies.
